The Barmy Arms, Twickenham

I am really surprised at some of the comments here. As a regular visitor (mostly in the Summer months) with my daughters, I have always had a great time here. The london pride is always excellent and have found it a welcoming place..

I have to say that Twickenham has it's fair share of pubs that draws unsavoury types but have never encountered that here and maybe that is down to the landlord not tolerating it. That's not having a dig at people that have posted here but hopefully just adding some balance to this.

The Merry Monk, Rochdale

Went into the Merry Monk before the Rochdale v Brentford game. Excellent pub with a good range of ales and a really helpful landlord
explaining all the local beers. Friendly locals and a good atmosphere.

The Barmy Arms, Twickenham

I visited this pub again recently and really enjoyed the experience. As I said in a post around Christams time, I have always found it to be a friendly and welcoming pub with great food (an excellent bbq this time around with very creative options). You will find that the beer is kept excellently,particularly the London Pride. The river view is superb.
