What a difference four years make.
The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. Pool table is in the front bar now with table tennis in the garden (great idea) kitchen's been closed :( but they are hoping to reopen it soon.
The pub has three cask ale pumps with two of them all the time (Portobello's Star on as their regular ale and a range of guest ales on the other).
As for having a "fit barmaid" behind the ramp.......really guy? That would have no doubt been important in the 1980's but that kind of sexism is just unnecessary these days. My opinion is that the male and female staff I've seen behind there are welcoming and professional.
Nice pub. Friendly people and a good product range
