It's been done up and in alot more modern style, but retains all that was good about the Anglers.The staff are efficient and the Guinness is a blinding pint.

Went in here for the first time at the weekend. beer ok(Guiness) service good. Quite a decent pib when you think its in Tottenham. The worst area for pubs in the whole of Greater London!

The person who wrote that last comment would be better sticking to trendy areas like Clerkenwell and Hoxton.They would probably love the revamped ranelegh, in bounds green.The white horse is a decent local, with real locals in it!! Its a bit rough and ready, granted., but thats Edmonton for you!!Always had a decent time in here.Euro 2004, just one example

A decent boozer in a area, that was once rough and ready, but is now every "wannabie working class, middle class tw*ts" favourite part of town.One of the few pubs where the locals still look like the Italian decent, that they are!! Well worth a visit!!!!!

I remember this when it was a skinhead pub called the Princess Alice(after the ship that sank in the thames).
That was the early to mid 80's, not a bad boozer. If i'm in the area, its one i use!!

Agree with the last comment. Use this pub after spurs games, its ok then. But can be very unfriendly if you dont have an Irish accent or an Irish name!!

Good local...for tottenham! probably the worst area in London for decent pubs. But this is one of the best!!

It's back!!!!
I slated what this pub had become, on this very site about a year ago. i have been drinking in here since about 93. and it had down hill terribly. But with a new governor, who knows what a real pub should be, and a lick of paint! The future looks bright! I have started drinking in here again!Keep it up steve well done!!!

I'm afraid i cant agree with the above comments. What was a friendly local, has now become an arty pretentious horror! totally alienating the local residents, and the old locals! This is bounds green, not Hampstead.

The Elephants Head, Camden
A good boozer, decent Guinness and always something happening. The cream of british "yoof" cults can be seen here(even if most are now middle aged), and all getting on.Decent guvner and decent music.
Only down side is having to put up with the drug dealing scum hassling you on your way from the station
