Great pub.Has a good lot of regulars and a good crowd when Spurs are at home.
Guinnesss is top drawer and service efficient and with a smile.
One of the best in N17
Though why the grey haired bald welsh bloke(Bob ,i think his name is) never takes his coat off even in the Summer is beyond me....

My family and friends use this pub when we go to watch the Spurs game best one in Scotland Green drug and trouble free pub run by an old style guvnor and his elegant wife he keeps a clean pub never any trouble because he is fussy who he allows in good pint great banter with the bar staff lovely ladies who really look after you no matter how busy it is they ring customers cabs, charge mobile phones, look after our bags if we don't want to carry them to the game, the do jaeger bombs and other cocktails and if you bring your kids in they are most welcome and the staff feed them Kimberley biscuits really welcoming old style boozer and is known to have live bands at the weekend great function room out the back only downside is that the beer garden is small and looks like a prison exercise yard!

I found this treasure of a pub in a small alcove off Tottenham High Road.
I was amazed of the cultural dualism of this little gem in Scotland Green.

The outside bar had the windows broken and was solely populated by people of an Afro Carribean nature The general consensus of the abundant revellers was complimentary to Irish bar staff who gave them a heartfelt welcome after their own 'watering hole " THE SWAN" had closed down.

The inside bar the "Traveller's Friend" was thronged by the young and old from the local travelling community.

I was told it was a Gypsy Wedding which is a frequent occurence in this lively bar. The King of the Gypsies.... John Frain..... paid tribte to the singer..DI O 'REA... barstaff and the man who will be fixing the windows.

I enjoyed immensely this bizarre and unique experience and plan to return when the windows have been replaced.

What have they done to this pub???? Used to be a great, tatty, proper pub. Went on a month ago on a friday, first time for ages, and it has been decked out like a dodgy club/bar, too bright, and no one in there, what a waste.

This is a lovely friendly pub with live music at the weekend. There is also a function room out the back which can be hired. The Fraines run a good clean house. Only down side is that Parick no longer works here - they should have got rid of one of the grumpy nosey time bar maids instead - well worth a visit.
