Junction Inn, Otley

An absolute gem in a town which is full of great pubs. It has remained consistently good in the 5 or so years that I have been visiting.

The Saracens Head Inn, Symonds Yat East

Good beer, friendly service, splendid food and a location to die for. I really could not fault this pub when we visited in August 2009.

The Olde Ferrie Inne, Symonds Yat West

The Ferrie serves decent beer but it is still very run down & does not seem to do much business. When we visited the Saracen's Head across the river was doing great business whislt the Ferrie was almost deserted.

The Crown Hotel, Whitchurch

Visited in August 09 when it was hot and sunny. Draught Landlord at the wicket. A week later the same barrel was still being served! Very expensive for both food and drink. It is not surprising that the pub is never very busy.

The Wye Knot, Symonds Yat West

Called in in August 09 to find the Wye brewery beers on fine form. We sat out in the beer garden & enjoyed simple well cooked food at very reasonable prices. The staff were friendly & the whole experience was a good one.

Woolly Sheep Inn, Skipton

Not the best place to buy TT beer

Red Lion, Skipton

High St pub popular with the local scallies. Not a lot to recommend it

The Black Horse, Skipton

Popular pub on the High St which looks better than it is.

The Railway Inn, Skipton

Friendly local close to Tescos. Narrow bar, cask ales & good service.

The Narrow Boat, Skipton

Lovely pub which has been knocked through into the shop next door to provide a dining room. Always busy, always popular & rightly so.

11 Jun 2008 13:57

The Royal Shepherd Inn, Skipton

Flatters to deceive - beer & service not always up to the mark despite the lovely setting by the canal.

11 Jun 2008 13:54

The Albion Inn, Skipton

Busy pub just off the High St. Cask beers & big screen for sport.

11 Jun 2008 13:51

The Boltmakers Arms, Keighley

Brilliant TT's tied house, tiny but v. welcoming. Best place in Yorkshire to drink Yorkshire's best beer

The New Roscoe, Leeds

Rock venue with hand pulled ale. Nice & comfy when there are no bands playing.

The Garden Gate, Leeds

The interior of this pub is unchanged for the last 100 years. Only concession to the 21st century is the TV. No hand pulled beer but worth a visit for the decor

The City of Mabgate, Leeds

Sadly no longer a pub.

5 Apr 2008 19:30

The Cavendish Arms, Embsay

Excellent village local catering for everyone. Usually at least two decent ales at the wickets. Home cooked food most days. Child & dog friendly. Close to the staem railway.

The Elm Tree Inn, Embsay

Busy pub in centre of village - always a good selection of cask ales and decent pub food.

5 Apr 2008 07:59

The Masons Arms, Eastby

Village local serving Hand-drawn Golden Pippin, Tetleys, John Smiths + guest. Dog & child friendly.

5 Apr 2008 07:57

The Dry Dock, Leeds

Has to be seen to be believed - a big boat (or is that a large barge?) dropped by the roadside outside Leeds Met Uni.

21 May 2007 07:36

Arcadia Ale and Wine Bar, Headingley

Former shop in the Arndale centre - good range of beer for the discerning quaffer - easily the best beer in the area

21 May 2007 07:28

The Akenside Traders, Newcastle

In defence of the Trader we had a nice Saturday lunch here - bangers & mash for 4.95
