Bridge, Shawford

Walked here on a sunny Saturday and sat in the lower garden. Big pleasant garden with plenty of tables. Unfortunately there were four very loud idiots there which lowered the tone of the place. When they left it was very nice. Dog friendly pub and garden. Slow service in the bar, not enough staff behind the bar. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food.

The Jolly Farmer, Worplesdon

This pub is situated on the edge of Whitmore Common. It has a cosy interior and nice beer garden and covered outside sitting area with good garden furniture and some patio heating lamps. It is a Fullers pub but as a Guinness drinker I'm not too sure what beers they do. Gets busy at weekends with people eating, staff are pleasant and friendly and it's a nice pub and well worth a visit.

The Tiger Inn, East Dean

Stayed here for two nights recently. Nice accomodation with good view over the green. Food very good as was the service from the staff, especially Mark. I'm not normally a real ale drinker as my tipple is Guinness but I tried the local Beachy Head beer which was excellent, my favorite being the 'Legless Rambler'. The pub is close to the coast so Birling Gap, Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters are easy to reach on foot. Would recommend this pub.

The Plough, Coldharbour

Have been to this pub about four times now during long walk's to Leith Hill. It is in a perfect setting and should be well worth a visit but that is about all. The bar staff and Landlady are the most miserable people to deal with, that's when they actually take the time to serve you. I've given it enough chances and now I won't return.
Anyone who has visited in the past and found the staff to be any good must have had too much of the home brewed, luke warm, over priced flavoured water that they sell as beer. Also if you want to buy the most expensive ever pint of Guinness then come here.

The Inn On The Green, Ockley

Nice pub this with a nice big garden at the rear. Landlord and landlady are very friendly as are the other staff. Haven't eaten here yet so can't comment on the food but the Guinness is always well kept. Wish it was walking distance to my house as would definately spend more time here.

The Star Inn, Rusper

Went in there on a Sunday afternoon. Most of the pub is taken up by a large restaurant area with just a small bar. The bar was occupied by several over fifty, over weight men making out of date racist jokes. They thought they were being funny but weren't, they appeared to be trapped in a time warp. I sat in the beer garden and thankfully the planes from Gatwick drowned out any drivel coming from the bar. Won't be going back, far better pubs than this in the area.

The Stepping Stones, Westhumble

Walked North Downs from Guildford to this pub which is a 14 mile trek, got to the pub at 4pm on a Monday and it was shut. No opening times displayed so not impressed.
