Harts Boatyard, Surbiton

GREAT LOCATION.

But I would like to nominate this pub for the worse customer service iN the world/UNIVERISE.
DIABOLICAL.
SHOCKING.
AWFUL customer service.
manager must be mad.
SORT IT OUT.

St Marks Tavern, Surbiton

went for a drink before getting train was not impressed.
interior is ok modern etc and i like the booths which is always good to have a catch up with mates but the bar staff lack customer service and they have never heard of cocktails.
note to bar staff: customer walks in just follow this script:
good morning/afternoon/evening
how ya doing?
what can I get you today
thanks very much
that will be x amount.
hope ya enjoy your drink/day

simple. dont grunt at me.

The Maypole, Surbiton

Had some dinner and it was very nice and very cheap.

Once again great service and friendly staff. This pub clearly shows that it pays off to look after your customers. Great atmosphere on a friday night will a great variety of people!

fun times. good price for a round as well 5 drinks 15 seems fair 2 me.

The Grey Horse, Sunbury on Thames

Went to this pub for the first time in my life.

Nearly drove past it but quickly spotted it. Nice and friendly inside, nice drinks, nice atmosphere. Did not eat but I am sure the food is nice. Lovely beer garden and some good music.

Notice: never reverse into the driveways along side the pub, some nutter came out and scared the living lights out of me. lord o lord.

Apologies for reversing in your drive, lesson learnt

Will definetly return to the pub!

The Walkabout, Newquay

great location.
awful service awful burger tasted like dust. Usually the burgers are great but on this occasion on the beer burger deal it honestly was appauling.
bar staff need to smile and remember manners cost nothing.

Hogsmill Tavern, Worcester Park

Great beer garden and loads of parking!
service is poor: asked for a knife and fork they gave me 2 knives, asked for a chicken salad came with no chicken, bar staff sometimes gets confused at their tills and over charge you but then you tell them and they under charge you which is great!
friendly behind the bar which is nice and they usually recognise you which is also nice.
portions could be a bit bigger for price you pay especially for the roasts!
still like visiting the place!

The Anglers, Teddington

Great views great location. Had a nice beer and larger in the sunshine. Seemed to be a nice mix of people and rather friendly at the bar.
Great if you have kids.
One major disappoitment was the food: ordered a hand made burger with cheese and bacon. 8.00. The burger was very small and had no taste to it, it seemed it was burnt, very small portion of chips, apparently the mayo is ment to be special but it was very plain. Worse burger I have had along the river.
Will the place another chance soon.

The Anchor, Wisley

gave this pub a 7. GREAT LOCATION and I love going there for a pint. The food is ok (normal) they claim it to be better than it is but at the end of the day a burger is burger and I will eat it. Potatoe skins loaded with everything.

wiated over 20 minutes for a drink which is a bit annoying but lovely place to visit on a sunday afternoon.

Harts Boatyard, Surbiton

i waited over 30 minutes from a drink. Unacceptable.
very annoying because it is a great location and decor. the managers said they are going to turn the place around well why dont you on a friday and saturday night always have at least 3 staff behind the bar.....

23 Mar 2008 12:32

Broadway Bar Cafe, Tolworth

food getting better which is good some well nice curries!
understand its under new management but they have to decide whether its a bar or club. They way to often get confused.
went there the other night for a drink and the music was blaring sounded RUBBISH. awful. it was obvious people were in there for a drink not for a clubbing experience.
Dress code shocking - well done for allowing trainers but people were wearing tracksuits, caps etc which kinda brought the place down a bit.
bar staff need to learn to say "hello can I help you" or "thank you" every so often. when they come pick up your plates why dont they say "i hope you enjoyed your food"? very very simple manners.
