The Coombe Cellars Devon, Coombe in Teignhead

Went there again last month. I can't understand the negative comments regarding the service as each time I've been it has been quick and friendly. I would imagine this suffers at peak times but that's common in all places. It's not cheap that's for sure and for a 3 course meal with drinks you have to be looking at at least 30 a head. The food is good and the setting is superb.

The Coombe Cellars Devon, Coombe in Teignhead

I've visited this place a number of times now, the last time last Sunday evening. The food was good, hot and the service excellent. the young girl, Amber i think it was, was friendly and helpful and we had a really great time as we watched the sun go down over the river. I would certainly go there again.

The Square and Compass, Worth Matravers

Park up, walk the coast path, stagger back up the valley then relax with an excellent pint or two in this superb pub. Magic!

The Raynes Park Tavern, Raynes Park

I like this pub. Friendly with a great atmosphere. I found the models/barmaids pretty good too.

The Mount Pleasant Inn, Dawlish Warren

Great setting and nice atmosphere. No chance of food on a weekend evening without booking.

Yates's, Hastings

Only been during the day. The breakfast is superb value and the bar staff really friendly and helpful.

The Edward Rayne, Raynes Park

OK so it's a typical "spoons" a barn for drinking in. But they've spent a lot of money on it and it shows. The bar staff are always friendly and frankly in Raynes Park or West Wim if you're posh- what's the alternative? One of the better ones.

The Sultan, South Wimbledon

Nice pub this if you fancy a change from the usual, plus a decent pint. The summer lightning creeps up on you though. I think Quinno's stalking me!

The Tynllidiart Arms, Capel Bangor

Went there last week for a meal which was absolutely brilliant. Nice atmosphere, good setting and friendly service. The "home-brew" is exactly as Quinno says. This is one not to miss.

Certainly one of wetherspoon's better pubs. Service was good and the staff friendly. the garden is great.

The Alexandra, Wimbledon

Well pricey - even for Wimbledon

Lady St Helier, Morden

4 meals,4 glasses of wine,1 pint of John Smiths and a double vodka and lemonade for 20. You can't beat it. OK so the clientele look like they come out of that pub in "American Werewolf in London" but they're pretty harmless!

Yr Hen Orsaf, Aberystwyth

Exactly what you would expect. The same as all the other spoons. Cheap and cheerful!

The Wibbas Down Inn, Wimbledon

I agree with the previous lot!

The Old Comical, Sandown

This place has everything going for it which is why I suppose it's used by the locals-always a good sign. Bar staff friendly, beer good and a good atmosphere.

The Spyglass Inn, Ventnor

Posted my last comment as Tony.Went back this year just to check and the place hasn't changed. The bar staff are the most unfriendly I have ever encountered- ANYWHERE! It's a shame as the setting, beer and food are really great. I suppose if they have everything going for them, they can afford to treat their customers with total disdain. I wish they would read and folllow the note on behaviour on their own menus. Never again!
