The Six Bells on the Green, Warborough

So James has got it wrong again, not the first time!

The Three Horseshoes, Benson

I think James must of been to a different pub, the place is returning to it's former glory with locals ranging from lawyers to bricklayers using it. 1.99 for a pint of Loddon Ferrimans, does that sound like a restaurant?. Visit for your selfs and see what you think>

The Red Lion, Cholsey

Dropped in for a drink on our way to the local Indian, we sat in the lounge area and went to order our drinks. The young lady behind the bar did not seem happy at all no smile or welcome, on returning to our seats all we could smell was the overpowering smell of the toilets behind us. yuk

The Half Moon, Cuxham

Had a birthday dinner last week food was good, so was the service. Found drinks quite expensive though.

The Cricketers Arms, Warborough

Popped in after reading Mike O's review in Wallingford angle nice warm atmosphere beer good but unable to try food as they were not serving it. Such a shame the current tenants are moving on, most of the people i have spoken to will really miss them. Good luck on there next adventure

Continue to use this place as my new local. Do not agree with xxjamesxx at all, new tenants have been in since February so hardly new tenant on the block. It's allways busy when i go there and you could not wish for better service. The menu is superb, never had Bucks Bacon Badger before but it was a revelation.

The Chequers Inn, Berrick Salome

Changed hands in August, popped in for a snack just after but not able to supply card machine. Very quite.

Crown, Benson

Much improved locals pub, beer kept in good order. Not the kind of place you would take your family for a special occasion, just a good local boozer serving pub food

Had a superb meal with friends on Sunday. New owners have been in about a month, the Bitter was devine, with a good wine list. Fantastic location

The Home Sweet Home Inn, Roke

Went for dinner last Thursday week for the first time in 18 months. Very dissapointed, the food was of average quality but there just appeared to be no atmosphere. such a shame.

The Chequers Inn, Berrick Salome

Place has just opened after a major referbishment, new kitchen, bar, cellar, toilets. This has made a great place fantastic, and best of all totally No Smoking.

The Catherine Wheel, Goring

We needed to meet friends for a catch up last week, so arranged to meet half way between our homes. Not sure of the area i asked the Landlord of one of my favourite dinning pub The Chequers Berrick if he could recommend anywhere and he recomended i try The Catherine Wheel. We were very impressed with this great place, infact it has very much the same feel as The Chequers, very good food and great service.

The Crooked Billet, Stoke Row

we went because of the reputation. What a let down average food at high prices, served in a cramped dirty atmosphere.

Dreadfull place, doggs wondering around the bar and restaurant, plastic table cloths, and deep fried food!
