We have been a couple of times now firstly for lunch where we had a lovely fish cake followed by a rump steak cooked just right and only for just under a tenner. We then went back for thier sunday lunch. Our plates were full of meat vegetables and a super gravey. The service was good and not too intrusive we really had a good time and will be using it again.

A lovely pub, did a pub crawl around the area on a Saturday night with friends - this was the best of the evening. Good size car park, garden area at the front (looked safe for keeping any kids amuzed and safe). Clean and with a real pub atmosphere inside, quick, pleasant and efficient service, comfy areas to sit. We weren't eating, but the smells we picked up got our gastric juices going! This pub lives up to it's name - wish it was in our village or closer to our home, because we would frequent it and return for a meal. Go - enjoy!

Well I have past by a few time but have found the Pub closed, but I hear a new publican is coming, so I will await his arrival, till I have a handle on his performance running a country pub, rather than a restaurant venue.

Its good but not as gushing as 'nigelbradford' paints, I've had good nights there, but the landlord is flakey his up and down all over the place, still roll on the Beer Festival, now thats a very good weekend............

We travelled from Spain upon a recommendation, and we weren't disappointed. I suspect that some of the negative blogs on here come from one or two locals who took a dislike to the landlord. As hoteliers ourselves there has never been a truer adage than the one about "pleasing all of the people all of the time" - eventually the smile can become somewhat tight with some customers (you know, the ones who are always right!) With pubs closing by the day it might be better if they were to support their local at all costs. As a previous blogger has said, there are other, but much pricier pubs nearby. We have no complaints about the plentiful food, the well kept beer, the friendly staff - a total English pub experience - well done. We shall be back next time in England.
