Poor real ale selection considering it's location. The Caledonian was disgustingly off and Deuchars was far too warm at about 22C. Bar staff foreigners which seems typical for tourist locations in the UK but really is crap for atmosphere. Food poor. Give this a miss if you care about real ales because the quality of theirs suggests they don't. Probably the worst pub I went to in the UK in 4 weeks.

Selection of real ales limited but well kept. Bar staff seemed rather bored though certainly polite. Food quite good. Looking around town I doubt any of the other pubs would beat it in any way.

The White House, Bowness on Windermere
Yes, really a restaurant now but with a couple of decent real ales. Highly recommended for the food however, a top meal at a decent price.

Crappy pub for a tourist, bar staff are all foreign so it completely lacks the right feel. They have 3 bars in the one area but for some stupid reason the close the bar with the most real ales often, and the mid level bar does not have the same ales as the top bar either.
Overpriced, as with most London pubs, and not the best kept ales I've had.

Found this to be a nice pub. Limited selection of real ales but were kept fine. Locals and staff were both friendly. Only negatives to me was it's rather small for 20 odd ppl to watch a Rangers game but certainly atomospheric for it, and smokers being in the doorway because thats where the ashtray is.

Great pub. Good real ale selection for a pub of it's size. Friendly locals and staff. As a jet lagged Aussie was made to feel very welcome.

Romilly, Cardiff
Decent real ale selection, though dominated by Brains (this is Cardiff after all). Liked the atmosphere, which was helped by Cardiff City doing well against Nottingham.
