Better then i thought it was going to be i have to say. Had just the right amount of people for a Friday, cos its not the biggest place. Barmaid was lovely as well, and the layout was in good shape.
Food shit, but what do you expect its a pub.
Buying food from a pub is like buying a suit from nettos

The Teddington Arms, Teddington
I dont particuarly mind this place. Layout is very poor though, seems much more people in there then there actually is due to the overcrowding of tables.
Decent sort of folk go here and the lounge area at the back is nice. Good place for a midweek pint.
Dont ever eat in here!!!! Food is crap and way to overprices for the small shitey portions they serve up.
285 Doesnt go to Twickenham!!!!!

I remember that blond manager! stroppy cow, told 2 of my friends to leave the empty pub as they had no id on them - they are and look 30 and were drinking orange juice served by the barmaid.
How i hate this place.

Right, the time has come to stand up and defend Edwardos. It may be a dump but after the introduction of the police vans outide its a happy dump.
I have NEVER experienced any trouble and ive been here a number of times in the past 6 months - although theres 2 reasons for that. 1) The late license 2) The size of the que for O'Neills
I for one will still see Edwards as a decent option on a friday night

Congratulations "Anonymous" for bringing much needed sanity to the reviews of this pub. Pretty useless would be my description of the place, why have such a large number of chairs for your restaraunt when no one ever eats in there? Why not fit a pool table in at the end?
Poorly laid out and by far the most daftest and most unorigional name of any pub ever seen. The last name at least made sense. And also 3.10 for a bottle of beer? This isnt Kensington

Pleasently suprised by what i found in here which was a generally decent pub. Good service ok selection, sports on screen, good background music.
This was a sunday night though as i dont think it would be any good for a weekender

This is my favourite place around either for a midweek pint or a sesh on the weekend
And no other pub i can find does Addlestones which is the finest drink known to man

Went in there last week, damn glad i wasnt in there before the refit.
Half of the menu was crossed out, the other half unapealing. Strongbow was cloudy and the barman looked as if his whole world had collapsed in.
Miserable place, unlikely to go back there again.

Stank of piss.
Very cheap, the 4x was excellent, the staff nice, good band on and the clientelle freindly....
but on the other hand it stank of piss

As hot as a furnace in there these days. Enquired why and was told at 10K the air conditioning was too expensive for the management to fix.
At least all the kids in there wont catch cold

The Tartar Frigate, Broadstairs
A spectacular pub. No good for a big weekend out but for getting slowly drunk on a weeknight the tartar is 1st rate. Spent the last 3 years drinking, playing the class duke box and trying to charm the barmaid.
The Tartar is a legend in its own life time. Though they must ban Omah.

Hmmm, I've started going to the Fountain reguarly over the last couple of months and ive found it a resonably pleasant pub. Large gardens, decent prices, hot barmaids e.t.c.
I'll have to see what happens over the next couple of months and see if all the pikie scum are just on holiday.
30 Jun 2005 20:21
My God but its got worse.
If Pikies were water this place would of been flooded by now

Very nice food and the beer tasted as good as anywhere in Dover - all though that isnt saying a great deal. Well worth a visit for any day trippers to Calais.

The Litten Tree, Kingston Upon Thames
Only avoids the 'worst bar in kingston' tag because the Kings Ton is just round the corner

Large pub, not bad but a bit out of the way. Hardly pumping with atmosphere on a saturday night but a decent place for a couple of cheeky halves on a monday evening

Wonderful atmospere. The live music only adds to the greatness as does the friendleness of the clientele.
Does take a month to get served on busy nights but as you end up talking to random people anyway you dont mind.

The Kings Tun, Kingston Upon Thames
Arguably the worst pub in the south of england. Sure it may be cheap but 1.70 for gassy ashwater doesnt add up.
Souless, Pikey, Rubbish.
But on the plus side they do nice food
9 Feb 2005 17:05
Very nice to go during the day good food and cocktails, however avoid it like the plague at night
9 Feb 2005 16:32
Threw everyone out at half time during the england - france game in the summer, what were they expecting after going 1-0 up a polite round of applause?
For doing this at half time they want shooting!
9 Feb 2005 16:05
Definitely a local place but it is resonably friendly and always stays open late

Joes Bar and Restaurant, Hampton Hill
Nice, like it. Definitely a week dayer rather then a weekender but it has a decent atmospehere and a (tiny) garden in the summer
28 Jan 2005 14:11
Great, another Weatherspoons serving watered down beer and no atmosphere. Twickenham has rapidly become the no go area of south west london.
28 Jan 2005 14:07
Nice, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Excellent in the summer and enjoyable in the winter. However, the drinks are spectacuarly over priced.
26 Jan 2005 16:37
Desperately unfriendly staff and clientele to match. Drink cheap but so is misery. Actually its not that bad but why would you go there when you have Yates's round the corner?

The Albion, Hampton Court
I like this place, it has all the right ingridients for a sucessful place. Nice layout, beer is outstandingly cheap and its big enough to fit a few in.
Also the barmaid (landlady?) was very pleasant and welcoming, and the pub quiz was a right laugh.
Good work
