The Builders Arms, Teddington

Much improved since Nick moved on, a nice enough bloke but he did rather let the place go the dogs. The new management may have a thing or two to learn about keeping everyone happy (an impossible task!) but it's all moving in the right direction. at least. The place still suffers from 'clique' syndrome, everyone turns to see who's walked in, but that's probably true of many small backstreet pubs. Although the place used to have a number of unsavoury characters who've now thank fully moved on, it still gets the occasional vist from scam artists and conmen, so watch out for your antique furniture if it needs restoring, you might have to pay dearly to get it back!

The Anglers, Teddington

If you've got kids this is a great pub to visit in the warmer weather. Not really a drinkers' pub but for families it's the real deal. Service is not as bad as some make out.

The Tide End Cottage, Teddington

Nice enough pub. The setting makes it worthwhile visiting in the summer.

The Teddington Arms, Teddington

Horrible place. Has all the feel of a corporate hostelry...bit like Costa Coffe. Too many barrow boys and their bits of stuff. The atmosphere is fake.

The Clock House, Teddington

A dire place indeed. This joint really is the last of the "old" Teddington before the gentrification took place and the house prices started to rocket. Anyone who remembers and liked the old Horse and Grooom would feel right at home here though. Full of villains, scallywags and ne're-do-wells It really should be bulldozed (along with the regulars in it) and a new shiny establishment constructed in it's place. But, knowing Teddington, it'll probably be earmarked for another block of astronomically priced apartments.

The Builders Arms, Teddington

Builders Arms much improved since new management, no question. The previous incumbent was not really suited to the task and therefore better off out of it. Still a clique-based venue though...probably too incestuous for it's own good. Could do with more new people and a breakup of the old regulars. And a word of warning to the unsuspecting...hide your antique furniture!
