The Drummond, Guildford

Spacious with a collection of eclectic furniture. Very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Pretty good selection of beers, which are well kept and food which is definitely above pub grub standard. Staff are friendly and attentive. Ideal for a leisurely drink or meal and slightly out of the Guildford rat race.

The Saracens Head, Bath

The service in this pub is truly terrible. On a recent visit to Bath we went here for lunch and found one poor girl working behind the bar and serving the food. It is a big pub and was pretty busy so whoever is in charge of staffing needs a reality check. The bar was full of people waiting to be served, and I should think the average wait to be served at the bar was about 15 minutes. There were numerous people walking out. Popped in the following day thinking that the previous day had been a one off and was greeted by two people this time, both with extremely surly attitudes.
If you want a decent drink in Bath go round the corner to The Old Green Tree which is a cracking little pub with excellent service. Avoid the Saracen's Head like the plague. I shall certainly not be returning.

The Ship Hotel, Chichester

Pity about this place. Last time I was here it was a nice comfortable hotel lounge bar. They have now tried to turn it into some kind of trendy wine bar, which is totally out of keeping with the character of the building. Soulless.

Park Tavern, Chichester

What an excellent pub! Had not been to Chichester for a while, and popped in here. Incredibly welcoming and friendly landlord. Cracking pint of London Pride and superb ham sandwich. Only slight complaint was that it was a bit difficult to get to the bar due to scrum of locals round it, but would definitely return.

The White House, Guildford

This is a great pub. The landlord and his staff run a pretty tight ship, but he keeps a great pint of 'London Pride' and has an amusing dry sense of humour.

The Kings Head, Guildford

Hadn't been in here for a while, but what a joy! Really friendly bar staff and a beautiful atmosphere, plus a cracking pint of Courage Best.

The Keystone, Guildford

This is a nice bar, more so than a pub, but my main comment would be that they serve the Wadsworths 6X far too cold. It is totally tasteless at freezing point, and should be served at room temperature.

The Drummond, Guildford

Went there today for the first time since it has been done up during the lunch break at cricket over the road. Excellent pint of Doom Bar. Unusual sandwich fillings, but tasted good, very efficient bar staff and friendly landlord. Recommended, and I will definitely return.
