The Keystone, Guildford - pub details

Description

Find us just off the bottom of the bustling Guildford High Street, our secluded terrace on Bury Street being an oasis of calm away from the crowds. The Keystone is all about an easy-going, relaxed and most definitely unpretentious way of life. We are not a gastro pub, we just happen to like real food, washed down with a tasty real ale or a beautiful glass of wine in a warm & welcoming environment. That, and maybe a bit of culture on the side.

Join us for our legendary Pie Night on Thursday.

We operate an over 21's policy at all times. Families with young children are welcome to dine with us until 7pm. We close at 5pm on a Sunday.

Now called the Cannon. Tough guy at the bar with piercings and all sorts, otherwise pretty empty.

Just on the outskirts of the town, stopped off for a beer while the wife went shopping.
Only had a shandy as I was driving, another clean well kept pub.
I see my new found whingers been here as well.
Resident stay at home with your beer and food from Lidle and stop your goddamm whining or take a bloody happy pill.

The Keystone does still do food, and very good it is too. Kitchen opening times per the Keystone's website are:
Sun–Mon Noon–3pm
Tue–Sat Noon–3pm & 6–9pm
... though I'm sure I've eaten there on a Monday evening. Anyway, key point is there is a gap in the afternoon which is presumably when the last reviewer was there.

Well it is still a pub Pilgrim and I dont see that changing. The beer was very good today with at least 3 guest ales and around 5 in total. Only about 3 people in there on a Week day afternoon so they may be short of customers. No sign of a menu so I assume they dont do food here. Looks a bit tired around the edges and nothing to do such as watch TV for example.
