The Globe, Brixham

This pub is rapidly becoming the haunt of the local fisherman. Apparently this is a result of the closure of the Rising Sun pub. Becuse of its location this pub should be full of tourists but which family would go into this place when there are these foul mouthed fisherman in there who get absolutely smashed out of their heads and have no idea how to behave in a public place. They are an embarrassment to the town of Brixham.

The Weary Ploughman Inn, Churston Ferrers

This has recently been taken over and is now more a restaurant than a pub, you can still get a drink there but it is not cheap.

The Bolton, Brixham

This pub is closed at the moment as it has recently changed hands. I don't know who the new proprietors are but I understand from another publican that they won't be running it as before - full of football morons - so hopefully it will be a pub that normal people can visit and they might have some real ale.

Hole In The Wall, Brixham

Like the Bullers this pub has recently been taken on by a new couple and the result is a complete transformation from what it used to be. The couple are Neil and Sarah and they offer good beer, good music and will not tolerate any yobbish behavior. The reasult, unsurprisingly, is that they are very busy.

Bullers Arms, Brixham

This pub has recently been taken over by a new couple who are determined to rid it of its previous druggie reputation cultivated by the previous landlord and so far are doing a good job. It has been nicely decorated and they have adopted a similar policy to the Hole in the Wall in not allowing youngsters in. It's amazing how pubs who adopt this policy very quickly become busy. If the soon to be opened refurbished Spratt and Mackerel follow suit then Brixham might start to gain a reputation for good pubs.
