The Anchor Inn, Swanage

Simply the best pub in swanage.

Beekeeper, Beeston

The chefs cant cook, many complaints have been made about poor quality of food, letters of complaint sent out to head office....nothing changes, its still the same. Dreadfull place, which is a shame because it could be a fab pub if the right staff were running it
Only good for a beer outside in summer.

The White Lion, Beeston

Dont drink the house vodka, i am sure they preserve bodies with it in Russia...lethal stuff!

The Greyhound, Beeston

seeing as it is now mostly frequented by rock dudes, please give me the job of decorating, it is too bright and has no proper feel to the place. It needs to be darker, gothed up a bit, more rocky...who paints the walls in a pub...white?

The Victoria Hotel, Beeston

I live 400yds away from the vic which is handy for their pork scratchings, they are the best darn scratchings in the world! After 8 double vodkas they are anyway.
However finding a handbag full of them the morning after is not a good thing.
Note to self.....stay off the vodka!

Hogshead, Stourbridge

Not a bad place for a stop off on a night out...house doubles are cheap but I remember it as Rothchilds wine bar in the eighties...time to get my duran duran album out again ???? not

The Thorns Inn, Brierley Hill

Newly refurbished pub with the best carvery around for miles...well worth a visit. Entertainment on most nights with late night openings on a Friday and a Saturday until MIDNIGHT !!!!

The Rum and Crab Shack, St Ives

I sat in the window with my gin and tonic last summer, lazily watching the sun go down over St Ives bay listening to the best chillout music. Sheer bliss, i thought i had died and gone to heaven.

Canal House, Nottingham

Great pub, especially outside in summer by the canal, the clientelle are mainly students, or city dwellers trying to be upmarket, ok yahhhhhh. Watch that bridge though, you dont want to fall in the water after a skin full.

The Bentinck Hotel, Nottingham

Flippin eck it's not a pub it's a lunatic asylum. Burn it down now!!!!!!!!!

The Cricketers, Beeston

I personally find this pub a bit clicky, as they all stare at you when you walk in, smells of cheap cooking fat all the time, disco is too loud, and the clientelle are a bit rough...well at least i am honest.

The Cow, Beeston

Great food, friendly staff, quiz on sunday night, carvery, outside seating, only problem i can think of is.... outside there is a huge green field which could benefit from a play area for kids at weekends, it's such a waste of space.

The Last Post, Beeston

Looks like a huge waiting room, ladies toilets are far far away at the other side of the pub. Food not all that good except for the curry nights. Great for cheap vodka etc, full of teenagers pretending to be 18 at the weekends, and the alcoholic benefit claiments brigade........you cant miss em!

It's an ok place to meet your mates at the start of the evening though

The Victoria Hotel, Beeston

Only 400 yards from my house! This pub serves the best pub grub in the land. Fab traditional pub. Lovely outside except for the trains deafening you as they speed past.

Crown Inn, Beeston

AAAAhhhhhhhhhh i love it, it has been my local for years. All olde worldy and original except for the lounge. It was an original coaching house. There are 4 rooms in total including the 'confessional' which seats 4 people around a small table, the door closes you off from the rest of the room and you have your own 3 ft wide bar, it's great. It has outside seating, and it's fab in the summer with all the coloured lights on the walls. It can get quite busy. Really good dukebox with great selection of music. The quiz night is also recommended, i think its on a tuesday.

The Fox, Corfe Castle

I first went to this pub way back in 1987 before it was all done up as it is today, it was like stepping back in time. I spent a couple of new years eves in there and we all had a fantastic evening, Graham and Annette are fabulous hosts, sharp witted and funny, and Graham has the driest humour ever. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Corfe castle.
