The Jolly Farmer, Bramley

Ate and drank here for the first time the other evening, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the menu. All the dishes we had were excellent except for the mackerel, which seemed a bit tasteless, pity. All beers we tried were very good, and the service was excellent and would put many main stream restaurants to shame.

The Barley Mow, West Horsley

Spent a pleasant evening here with friends recently, beer was top notch condition, (IPA and Pride) and the food was good value and tasty. Will visit more often from now on. Seemed to be a bit quite for a Thursday night and I don't understand why!

The King William IV, Horsley

Went here with friends for first time and found it to be a very welcoming venue, beer was in excellent condition, Shere Drop and Courage Best was sampled. Food was also very good quality with decent portions. Will be back here soon. One of few pubs that has a Dart board, and best of all, very motorcycle friendly.

The Saddlers Arms, Ripley

Quite a nice pub inside or out. Unfortunately Green King IPA was nats p the night I visited. Food passable but easy to find better quality and cheaper food locally.

Ye Olde Windsor Castle, Bookham

Eaten here a few times now, and I can't really fault it as an evening venue, the beers are always in very good condition and the food is excellent value for money, especially if you download the buy one get one free meal vouchers.. 3 pints of beer and 3 mixed grills for about 30

The Three Horseshoes, Marlow

Great pub in wonderful surroundings as well as being very welcoming.
4 of us ate here for the first time yesterday and were all impressed with the range of beers which were all in excellent condition. The food was also great with plenty of choice from a superb menu. The portions were huge, hot and full of flavour. Will be coming back here very soon

The Sovereigns, Woking

Good inexpensive range of beers, hearty food menu and good mix of clientele, what more could you ask? Has a large and very popular smoking area

The Bulls Head, West Clandon

Have been here a few times now and always had a friendly welcome. Ale is usually very good, Speckled hen 3.06 (cheap). The food has always been good value. I can't see why its not more popular than it is.

The Cricketers, Horsell

soooo much better since it had a mini makeover, now a lot brighter and the loos have been refurbished, atmosphere in gents now breathable again!
only downside is the beer is all from shepherd & neame 3 beers that taste the same ...none of them good

The Red Lion Inn, Horsell

Eaten here with a group of 38 other people recently, excellent service and not a single complaint, still provides much better value and quality than many "restaurants"

The Hunters Lodge, Woking

3 of us ate there recently, firstly the beer was in superb condition, Rev James 2.85 and London pride 2.65 Food was hot and excellent quality for the price compared to pubs in the area, service was quick and there were very few spare seats available, will revisit sooner rather than later. 47 for 2 starters 3 mains inc. 1 steak, beers and coffees ...very good value

The Hunters Lodge, Woking

Been here a couple of times lately, beer was in very good condition and cheap for the area, food is typical pub fare and is cheaper than many pubs around Woking, 6.75 for fish and chips, nice and hot and served in a timely fashion.

The Horse and Groom, Merrow

Used this place a few times, the beer is always in good condition and the food is excellent value when compared to most pub food prices, thursday night for example, a pint of london pride and a bowl of curry for 5.99, you'll have to go a long way to beat that.

The Cricketers, Horsell

The only flaw in the business plan is to have loss making "entertainment"?? .
If as you say, you are locals you must have also observed that there are many more non jazz fans in the pub on the other 6 nights of the week than there are jazz fans in on mondays.
You have obvoiusly not noticed that it is the festive season, so those rowdy tables could have easliy spent in one night what you spend in a year, lets not lose sight of the fact that pubs are profit making businesses. Not that i am biased in any way, but the sound of people being happy and enjoying themselves will always be preferable to the monday night insult to our ears.
Luckily things will change next year and perhaps varied musical entertainment will be on the cards, folk nights, rock nights, blues nights strippers, comedy nights etc

The Cricketers, Horsell

This is a good pub that unfortunatly seems to be going downhill. The interior is drab and is well past its sell by date, it could do with a full refurb before its too late! The beer, staff and food, as always remain excellent.

The Red Lion Inn, Horsell

Great atmosphere now, but a bit noisy when full. Food is excellent, and you will need to book for a seat in the restaurant, luckily full meals are served in the bar area. The only down side is that the draught beer quality seems to have suffered and they are not in as good condition as previously.
Staff very attentive, well worth a visit.

Bridge Barn, Woking

Beer was in good condition and cheap for Woking (IPA and Spitfire) Food was reasonable for pub food but the service was dreadful. All told our 3 courses plus coffee took 3 hours to deliver. Won't hurry back

The Red Lion Inn, Horsell

4 of us enjoyed a good quality meal here last week, not the cheapest around but good value nontheless. Grapevine rekons it will be owned by Bluebeckers in the new year!!

The Running Mare, Cobham

First visit for 20 years and it was great. Lively atmosphere and good service. Tongham TEA in excellent condition. Food and service was better that in many more expensive restaurants I've been to lately. Certain to go back very soon

The Cricketers, Horsell

I was worried about the ceasation of the jazz too, but unfortunally it's going to continue.
Food much better since ownership change, still expensive for pub food. Bar service can be very slow at times. Lack of personalities behind the bar. Avoid Monday enenings
