always looks good but fails to deliver on service
staff always look tired and miserable
this was once a good pub but it seems to of hads it day now
plenty of great new places on northcote rd to go to

it's amazing how many old digruntled staff and local competitors
use this web site to slag of other pubs, staff and managers.
the reason i say this is because i visited this pub last sunday and
had an amazing time.i am a bar manager and know good service when i see it.I read the comments below before i posted my comment and was very suprised to see someone giving th guy with the grey hair ( who i believe is the manager), the reason i say this that the manager on duty when i was there was fantastic.( who also had short grey spikey hair)
he was running around doing everything and made our visit very pleasant and memorable .I will definetly be returning when i am
back in hammersmith again- also the food was amazing.

I think this is a fantastic pub
great charm and character and a lovely little beer garden out the back
had sunday lunch here and it was great
great local pub, will be back to visit it again soon

I live on battersea rise and the goat is my local
it is a fantastic pub and is always heaving every weekend
the atmosphere is brilliant
i think most of the staff are ok
the music is always really good

seems to have a new manager in hear now have to say the service is much better and the staff are friendlier

this pub always had potential they just kept putting
a string of bad managers in how can you expect 21/23 yr olds whose idea of a good pub is to put crap doorman on and hire all the bar staff who have been fired from other pubs and have the likes of roys karaoke! please filling pubs with chavs is not always the answer!

good bar great atmosphere at night very children friendly
my little boy got a toy with his meal- a slugasorous!

I have to say i have had to wait awhile for food in here
in the past but it was well worth it, the Sunday roasts are really nice in here the only complaint I would
have is you can never get a seat in the place after 2pm on Sunday which means I have to get my lazy ass out of bed early but I only has to wait 10 mins for my dinner last Sunday- so it's getting better

how is this a great venue it's dirty you have to wait ages to get served the staff are miserable.you re right when you say it is cheap - cheap & nasty.i have been a student here for two years and would drink in the tree or the antelope and even the falcon before coming to this joke of a pub!!

not a student friendly pub.nice refurb but why keep serving filthy old drunks- sort it ouy guys- will this pub ever loose its bad reputtion- i think not!

good atmosphere when it is busy the only problem
is it takes forever to get served.the bar staff are terrible.

this place is not student friendly it is full of locals with attitude .all the alcohol they sell is the
cheap & nasty stuff.crap staff & the management are clueless.for a late night out you are better off going to o'neill's or the litten tree.

dirty horrible chav pub with really arrogant doorstaff
and only one toilet downstairs.this pub needs to be shut down!!

night in town.good crowd, wicked atmosphere and finally a pub in wycombe with really fit barman!

well well well im glad to here the pub is due to get another refurb and the good news is the existing manager who is a total idiot is not getting to stay. the company have realised that he has run a perfectly good pub into the ground
the fact that he ever got to take the pub over in the first place was a bloody miracle
p.s . arsenal fans are scum
