A standard Wetherspoons so no surprises. Apart from Doom Bore and the usual Greene King dross there were only two other ales on, Milestone Comet a hoppy golden ale at 4.2% and Wychwood Bah Humbug a darker slightly spiced festive offering at 4.3%. To be fair both were in very good condition and at £1.99 per pint each exceedingly good value. Nothing here to get excited about but equally nothing offputting.

The Falcon is the nicer of the two Wetherspoons in High Wycombe. This one is located in the main shopping area and is slightly larger than the William Robert Loosley. Ales were Loddon Ferryman's Gold, Windsor & Eton Kohinoor IPA & Canberra, Ringwood Old Thumper, Binghams Twyford Tipple, Sharps Doom Bar, Ruddles Best & Greene King Abbot. This branch had no real cider either. But the big problem here was service. Whilst there were 2 people stood doing nothing in the William Robert Loosley, the one barman here was absolutely rushed off his feet. As I left, he had about 10-15 people waiting to be served, with people ordering coffees and breakfasts. I went across the road to the Red Squirrel Brewery Shop Emporium where there were more staff than customers. But at least there was a far better range of beers and ciders. I'm sure this place will be added in due course. But it was a far better choice than either of the Wetherspoons.

On Monday 27th June I got the bus to High Wycombe and then I walked to The Falcon and I went up to the bar and I was served by Emma and I ordered apple pie with ice cream and a tea and I went and sat by the window and when my food came I ate it and watched all the chavvy people in tracksuits walking up and down the high street and The Falcon is a big pub with lots of tables to choose from and I will return next time I go to High Wycombe

Today Thursday 5th May I got the train to High Wycombe and when I got there I walked to the Falcon and I went up to the counter and Mark served me and I ordered pancakes and syrup and 1 large Apple Juice and I went and sat at table 7 and I watched Mark bring people their food while I had my breakfast and the Falcon is a very big pub with lots of tables to choose from and I will return next time I go to the Falcon
