Bar Ha Ha, Kingston Upon Thames

I moved to kingston 2 years ago and lived in the town center this bar was great, good beer, good food and good service. over time and i think several managment changes this bar is a shadow of it's former self, the beers not bad when you get it, food is ok but nothing speacial, and the service i think has hit rock bottom. I went in there early this week for a quiet beer and possibly something to eat, the table service system they're using does'nt work you have 7 staff running around with little or no organisation, we sat at a dirty table for 10 minutes and called for service twice and when someone arrived they asked for a food order (i hadn'e even ordered a drink) then it was another 10 minutes and 2 servers later before the drinks arrived. the food was ok.

for me anyone wanting a beer during the day use another bar ( i can't see how the location can suppliment service this bad). although service at the bar on an evening is sloww at least you can see where you are in line.

The Victoria, Surbiton

Great local right on the main street and a great place to watch the football or rugby

Rubicon Bar, Surbiton

Beer is ok but the choice very limited (only german lager or weiss beer).

very small and can take a long time to get a drink

music is ok but can be a little loud for the size of the bar

can't see the point of the basement lounge only big enough for about 10-15 people.

Gordon Bennnett bar + kitchen, Surbiton

I've lived in kingston for about 1 year now and this is one of the best bars around, friendly staff, great food (especially the sunday lunch), and chilled tunes.

It can get a little busy at the weekends and could do with a little more space to be able to stand around the bar, that said it's great, I only wish there was a similar one in kingston.

If anyone knows of one I'd like to hear about it.
