Visited Saturday last...Skate smelt of ammonia..i.e....was off...everyone included waistresses and front of house could clearly smell this but NOT the chef.....if the Chef has NO sense of smell....heaven help you!.......food took ages....not particularly nice....basically...another place doing pub grub and charging restaurant prices....Michelin recommended places charge less!
Service staff in T shirts also looks poor!...
NOT a restaurant and slowwwww service...will not be back

Visited today...food poorly presented and had no flavourings. Even the mayonnaise was tasteless. Service also needs to be addressed.Basically, another pub doing "pub food" but charging restarant prices!
�10 for a Sub-standard Ham,Eggs and chips!
Toilets also a let down!
Passed comments on but was told "thats the way the chef likes to do it"..behave,,its YOUR business...Prima Donna chefs!

Visited last evening...saw the band Scooby....band average...pub worse...
needs a good clean...loads a cobwebs.....staff not the greatest....need training!......fill my pint glass pleeaasseeee....!
no sliced lemon or lime!...are you a pub!
toilets poor!...please clean the place!

Visited this pub 25th July...food poor...messed up order...had to ask 3 times for a spoon for my soup.....beer average....bar staff not awake....so service slow....too many flies in bar....we moved table...tables not cleaned after diners....dteat loaction but I believe living on past laurals...avoid

Extremely pricey, staff full of own self importance, would NOT even top up the Lager!.......but as long as the blonde looks good and can sip her drink intermittently whilst serving you!......who's the customer?!

Several of us watched a band there the other evening. Lady behind bar appears to have an attitude. Even asked a part disabled lady with a walking stick to stop moving and enjoying the music whilst seated sat the bar on a stool!!....absolutely weird. Personality bypass!

Nice building,large car park,beer was awful,between us we tried the bitter, kronenbourg and stella.Ended with Guinness and a Becks ina bottle! safer, staff young and not very customer focused or clued up.Also have quiz night on a Tuesday so place is like a library. Avoid Tuesdays!!!better pubs around.

Extremely rude door staff...closes 1am fri & Sat...door staff then ruin next 20 mins by shouting requests for you to "drink up"....are we not allowed 20 Mins?..what happened to customer awareness?

Smart bar, however recently declined in popularity...was well run by Kate and her sister, now not as efficient and friendly, no drinking up time allowed...serve you a drink and 2 minutes later ask you to leave!!! doorman on 9th April was intimidating!!
staff that night were too busy dancing behind the bar! lets hope it reverts back to past glories!...
