Old City Bar, Canterbury

I used to visit this pub on a regular basis, straight after work on a Friday night. Appears to be a popular 'after work' pub, always busy at that time - good atmosphere. Classy bar, conservatory with pool table and a lovely beer garden. Plenty of seating area in this pub, including sofas. During the summer months, BBQ's are held in the garden as well as other garden activities, table tennis, football table etc. TV's in the pub for sports fans. Have only eaten here once, a delicious steak lunch on a Saturday afternoon

The Tartar Frigate, Broadstairs

Very inviting 18th century pub, just a stones throw away from the beach / harbour. As far as I'm aware, this pub does not have a garden but during the summer months you can take your drink and sit on the beach or harbour (bar staff will obviously provide plastics). The inside of the pub is very warm and welcoming, and during the winter months, there is always a log fire on the go!. Last time I visited the pub on a Sunday lunchtime, there were so many roast potatoes, sausages, cheese chunks etc up at the bar, I didn't need to eat again until later in the evening!. There is a seafood restuarant attached to this pub, it also provides many other dishes (I haven't yet sampled the food). I visit this pub everytime I go to Broadstairs

The Gate Inn, Chislet

A lovely peaceful country pub with delicious home cooked food and a beautiful beer garden by a stream. Have been here on numerous occasions with family and sampled various yummy dishes. Staff are always very friendly

The Grove Ferry Inn, Upstreet

If you're looking for a pub with a beautiful riverside garden, this is the place to be!. The pub has a very long garden, with decking and picnic benches all along the river and scattered all over the garden. Out of all the riverside pubs I have been to, this is the most beautiful in my opinion. I have visited this pub on many occasions and it has such a relaxed family atmosphere. During the summer months, it is just as pleasant sitting outside until late in the evening, when everything is lit up!. You can even have a boat trip if this takes your fancy! (although, unsure of costs). The inside is very modern and classy, although I was sad to see it change from the olde worlde pub it used to be - it had so much character, artifacts hanging from the ceiling etc...it all reflected the history of this public house. I feel that the modern look has taken that away, but maybe I feel that way because I had many memories with family in this pub during the time it was olde worlde. The food back then was out of this world, not sure what it's like now, but worth a try just to sit out in the lovely beer garden :-). The front of this building is beautiful too

Pauline's Manor Shades, Gravesend

I haven't been to this pub for about for about 7 years so I have no idea what it's like now, but this was my regular weekend haunt for about 3 years and I have some great memories of this pub. It was always very friendly, got to know the regulars really well in a short space of time, always a great atmosphere. Some great characters in this pub, juke box provided a good atmos (mixture of ages in the pub so music also very mixed!), there would be occasions where there would be the odd sing song, people dancing by the juke box, games of killer on the pool table. The pub and back yard are not very big but it's better that way, adds to the friendly aspect of it. I just hope it hasn't changed from all those years ago.

The Phoenix Tavern, Faversham

I visited this pub on Saturday eve, which is the first time I've been there since it was refurbished. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the pub has expanded (at least, I think it has expanded, it certainly looked bigger than before!!), it was very classy and cosy, with a very relaxed atmosphere (sofas, log fire etc) and I can imagine that it attracts people of all ages. I'm looking forward to returning and sampling the food in there!

The Old Wine Vaults, Faversham

I have visited The Old Wine Vault twice since it opened and I have been impressed on both occasions. This pub was previously known as The Hole in the Wall (which had developed a bad reputation over this years), and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had turned in to a classy establishment. The first time I visited this pub was for lunch with my mum and we both enjoyed the food, the style of the pub and the relaxed atmosphere so much that we intend to go back for lunch/dinner again very soon. I returned for the 2nd time with my friend on Saturday evening just for drinks, she was equally impressed with the style of the pub and the relaxed atmosphere and it was lovely to just sit around on a table chatting in such a lovely location. What makes the pub so fascinating is that from the outside it is very deceptive, it appears to look like a fairly small establishment, then you walk in to this exceptionally large bar!, lots of tables and seating areas (some in hidden corners), a big long bar, plenty of space and I've heard the garden is lovely and big too (I've yet to check this out!), staff always pleasant + friendly too
