I jumped for joy when this place got closed down.

Massive drug den

Too intimidating to walk past in evening and weekends, always drunks outside behaving aggressively.

Council and police just let them crack on knowing it was common knowledge that it was a hideout for druggies

Thankfully appears to have shut down.

Rowdy pub , cocaine sniffing punters doing it off of pool table to left of bar, elderly bar maid chose to turn a blind eye.

Pub seemed clean enough and beer was okay.

Nice pub if you want to purchase drugs or have a punch up.

I haven't been to this pub for about for about 7 years so I have no idea what it's like now, but this was my regular weekend haunt for about 3 years and I have some great memories of this pub. It was always very friendly, got to know the regulars really well in a short space of time, always a great atmosphere. Some great characters in this pub, juke box provided a good atmos (mixture of ages in the pub so music also very mixed!), there would be occasions where there would be the odd sing song, people dancing by the juke box, games of killer on the pool table. The pub and back yard are not very big but it's better that way, adds to the friendly aspect of it. I just hope it hasn't changed from all those years ago.
