The Pied Bull, Streatham

i remember this pub in the 70s,when it was run by a very old lady, sorry cant remember her name, and they won pub of the year, and had a beer tent on the common just over the road...she would sit at the end of the bar(i think it was the bar on the left hand side)and wag her finger if you would would be served or not...i also remember that a one time british boxer used to run the pub,and then went to the jolly gardeners in mitcham or it might have been his mother that run it....but who cares ..it was a well run pub when i used it. the good old days when youngs was youngs.no rating not been in for 40 years

i would like to know if anybody looking at this site has a phone number or address for peter parr, who used too be the landlord here a few years ago.if you have please post, and i will contact you via this web site.my name is kevin and i have known peter for over 30 years, but lost contact when he left the barmy.if you do have his phone number please tell him i am trying to get in contact, just mention the greyhound in streatham, back in the 70s,pete and i were old pals, and would love to hear from him and lynn again, thanks to anyone reading.p.s.i used to come over via the ferry from the new inn at ham common, and have very good memories of being stuck in the barmy when the river flooded

The Crown, Egham

dear british airways, these are the type of comments that are not needed on this site, the site is about ale and that is all,i agree that steve is a total cock, and he has done matt no favours what so ever with his silly posting, but please lets leave it at that.i have more important things to do such as running a pub and raising a family than logging on to this web site and reading what these people have to say,but after saying that i will moniter the site, and give the crown my full backing..........as the cock said in a previous posting katie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Crown, Egham

here we go once again, the crown is a fine pub run by a very good manager, the crown is a good pub dealing with a different people than the red lion,ie pool tables, juke box, dart board etc..i will put this on my web site as well, all you are doing is making both pubs look bad, please stop making these postings 10out of 10 for the crown.
