The Fox and Barrel, Cotebrook

A lovely pub/restaurant to spend a couple of hours in, leafing through a newspaper, enjoying a chat etc. A central bar serves a number of rooms and alcoves, with dining and drinking throughout.

As well as a character of the pub we found great local real ale. Guest beers coming from local breweries as well as further afield, including Caledonian Deuchars IPA and
Weetwood Eastgate Ale.

Pleasant and enjoyable.

The Bakers Vaults, Stockport

Clearly a beer lover behind this establishment. The ale selection is impressive. 5 handpumps with Robinsonso, and 4 changing guest beers. The place has a nice feel, with large windows and high vaulted roof. Fantastic wurlitzer jukebox gives a 1950's/1960's sound to the background. Really worth visiting.

The Feathers Hotel, Ludlow

Very impressed.

3 ale, from Hobsons (Old Prickly - delicious pale ale) and Ludlow Brewing Co. (Best and Boiling Well).

Beer served at good temp, nice condition and clarity best seen in town.

Service good, pleasant bar and surroundings.

Will be back for more!

The Church Inn, Ludlow

Agree with previous posts. What's going on here? Used to be great, but has lost the plot.

Still upto 10 ales, but sadly not that special anymore. Service is disorganised chaos. Pub looks neglected. Bad language from customers and even one female member of bar staff.

Prices still however reasonable.

Not what it was.

The Globe, Ludlow

Now bar to Thai restaurant. Very limited choice of draught, and only one ale. Average quality. Disappointing.

The Queens, Ludlow

Nice pint of Hobsons Best, medium-bodied and hoppy. pleasant enough pub/restaurant (feels more restaurant), but lacking a bit of soul. Service good.

The Marches, Ludlow

Bit limited on ales, nothing local. Reasonable pint of Black Sheep, hoppy and good bitter finish. Pub/pizza restaurant. Lacks much character.

The Three Tuns, Bishops Castle

Well worth a visit. Great beer from the adjoining brewery. Especially liked 1642 and XXX. Nice bar area that seems to attract local and passing trade. Food was very good.

Ye Olde Seven Stars, Kidderminster

Probably best pub in Kidderminster. Decent ales that vary. Nice large rear garden. Dog friendly.

The Little Pack Horse, Bewdley

Good pub. Plenty of character. Decent pint of ale, including Hobsons and St Austell.
