The Brickmakers Arms, Ridgewood

Used to drink here 15 years ago! Whe it was rock music and dirty leathers, best place in the area then.

Alarmed to here it has been done out, it was an institution, hope it still has the same atmosphere?

The Station, Newton Uckfield

Not many places to sit inside, but has seating area outside.
Best atmosphere in the town, but then it is Uckfield, LOL!

The Maltings, York

The perfect pub. Real cider, real ales & english wines and proper pub food (non of this chain pub deep fried nonsence).
Also boasts the bests chips in the UK.
I want my ashes scattered here...

The West Riding Refreshment Rooms, Dewsbury

Great Great Great. Deffinately one of the best pubs in yorkshire, real ales, ciders & english wines. And good food. Nice staff. A reason to visit Dewsbury!!!

Black Bull, Rothwell

Great landlord & lady, rest of staff pretty dire.
Very busy Friday & Saturday nights. No real ales, usual stuff behind the bar. Just an average local.

The Three Horseshoes, Oulton

This has its own place in the market. If you are over 50 and enjoy coach trips, you will think you have died and gone to heavon. More of an eating place than a pub. Big portions of food, but not very nice or presented with much care.
Good if you have an elderly realative that remebers the war or the darby & jone is shut...

The Square, Leeds

No atmosphere. Went in 3 days out of 7, and still not stocked up on the wines. Staff not bothered, bit of a barn really, people only go in because it is the longest bar in leeds. No real ales

Monkswood, Leeds

This has closed down now...

Really Really expensive drinks. Millionaires only...

The Midland Hotel, Woodlesford

Great atmosphere! Pub quizz on a Thursday is really a good laugh, free drinks and sweeties, cool eh?
Not a real ale place, but do a pleasant bottle of rosie for 7.50. Age range 18 - 30 mainly, but other ages also.

The Eldon, Woodhouse

Dreadful place. Despite being in a Uni area it cost 2.43 for a pint of strongbow.
Food is all rubbish which is why it is cheap. Lots of deep fried stuff, very slow service (45 minutes).
No real ales, staff uninterested in complaints. Lacking in atmosphere.

The Duck and Drake, Leeds

THIS IS THE ONLY CITY CENTRE PUB YOU CAN TAKE YOUR DOG IN! (As the rest all do food).
They are welcomming to dogs, and have friendly staff.
It is a little pricey, not fancy in anyway. Sadly they have swapped the juke box for one of those modern computer ones that cost a 1 a tune!
Do have a good range of real ales, but only one real cider.
