There are 2 far better pubs round the corner, the Barley Mow and the Railway Guard. Beer is at least 15 pence a pint cheaper they stay open later and the less moronic elements drink in there, i.e. 'decent people'.

This pub sells the most expensive beer in Epsom bar none! They also allow fox hunting scumbags to drink there, i.e. Dave who drinks St. Miguell larger goes on fox shooting trips to Holland. Please Boycott this pub . I think if I drank there again I would throw up!!!

Any music fans out there? Well I recommend the band that will be playing in the Ladas this coming Friday 23rd from 7.30 to 8.00 I think. They are called 'DUO' and consist of a bass guitarist, Pete and lead guitarist Tim. I've seen them before and they are an absolute knockout!
Also if you are a real ale drinker the Ladas is the place to be, especially when 'Mad Goose' is on tap!!! I hope it's there on Friday!!!!

I absolutely and totally agree with epsombeerbelly's comments. As for needing cleaning up, well the cleaner when Stuart and Gemma were there is an extremely 'close' friend of mine and they also clean MY house! Stuart and Gemma left it in a spotless condition, I know I helped them move out and saw it.
The pub 'WAS turned around when Stuart and Gemma left' so either the present landlord or the ones in the last two months have totally undone all the grand work that they put in to turn it into an award winning pub. If you want to 'DIS THEM' grumpydrinker then go round to the Ladas, learn what a pint of well kept ale should taste like and do it to their face. Honestly, you should be ashamed of yourself. I don't drink in the White Horse anymore because I do not want to witness how it has deteriorated since Stuart and Gemma left and I have a delecate stomache that cannot take too much abuse!

Wow! What a turnover, now the highest rated pub in Epsom. That's all down to the hard work put in by Stuart and Gemma and the support they have had from their well meaning locals. Great real ales good larger and a friendly service. Quiz night on Mondays and music coming soon. Sky TV too! See you there! Mine's a Doom Bar or a Mad Goose!!!

This pub is very cliquey, if you are not amongst the select few you are not welcome. Boring selection of ales and rude service from staff, was made to feel unwelcome. It seems it was a real chore to get up and bother to serve you and the barman literally snatched the money from my hand. Will never go back whilst he and his unwelcoming spouse are there.

Quite so Jeffdaff! I heard that the dullard in question was sacked and now there is a barmaid who demands her customers to buy her drinks! I don't think so baby!!!! I recommend the Ladas. It's turned into a really friendly pub since Stuart and Gemma took over, and now they have Sky TV too!!!!

This pub has seriously improved since it was taken over by Stuart and Gemma who used to run the White Horse. For years you could never get a decent pint of real ale in the Ladas, but now Stuart's reputation for selling quality real ales has followed him to the Ladas.
They have transformed this pub from what can only be described as a stark, unfriendly dive, into a warm friendly local where you can make friends with other customers within minutes of them walking in.
I would recommend that anyone looking for a pub to go to where they can truly feel at home should give it a try. You can get good pub food here too.

Indeed, what has happened to the White Horse? It's not good for the barman to be seen smoking and slouching over the bar during opening hours! Not only not good, but illegal and quite off putting. What a slovenly, couldn't care less attitude. I used to be a local of the Horse but I simply refuse to set foot in the door any more. All the people that were barred from the pub because of their violent nature or because they used, or were dealing in banned illegal substances are apparently returning. Gemma and Stuart turned it into a family friendly pub and 'THEY' won several awards for the White Horse, which no doubt the new management will 'hijack' as their own.
The White Horse used to have the best real ale in Epsom. Now, the best real ale in Epsom can be found in the Ladas, Stuart and Gemma's new establishment. I am boycotting the White Horse in favour of the Ladas, which has been cleaned up and rejuvenated.
