The Weary Ploughman Inn, Churston Ferrers
Very much a restaurant now and really not suitable if you just want a pint or three.

After a revisit to this pub in March 09 I have to say that after traveling to many Countries and eating in hundreds of dodgy eating establishments they managed to produce the worst plate of inedible food I have ever seen.
I was totally unaware that chicken could reach a density that a fork would be unable to pierce it, plus the stunningly unattractive presentation managed to completely take away any hints of hunger I had.
I will never eat there or even visit again and can only recommended it to someone whom urgently needs to lose weight.

Yet another new landlord,(Bernie's gone)and he will only cover for a few months. The brewery really needs to get a permanent crew in and start looking after it.

Visited last week-end and will not bother again. Nice looking pub but with poor service and that speaks volumes.

Strangely enough I too went to this pub on the same day as 'Lyons' but at about 5pm and found the pub busy and well run. I had a meal which was fine and the service was very good, in fact so good that I commented to the bra staff on the way out.

Very strange pub with stranger locals who don't like strangers. If you hear a banjo playing run for your life.

Used to love this pub but is seems to have suffered post smoking days. The music now is ear shattering rubbish which is already attracting the hoody chavs. Thanks but no thanks.

Ha Ha Bar And Canteen, Staines
I went in other day for the first time in months and I immediately remembered why I avoid it. The bar staff should be in the Red Arrows as they disappear in every direction apart from towards you. After waiting for some time we just walked out. A lovely location but what's the point if you can't get served. I will not bother again.

Most of the staff seem to be bored and lazy. Dont bother trying to watch rugby on a Saturday afternoon as the TV's are on but with no sound. On asking I was told 'we don't do that'. If watching rugby to disco music is your bag then its for you. I've tried it 3 times and it only seems to work with the big matches ie England. Other than that, forget it.

This is a nice looking pub with good staff but I always feel that I sitting in a restaurant rather than a pub. It just doesn't do it for me.

Horrible. Cold in winter, hard work getting a pint. Most staff seem to avoid serving behind the bar.

Sorry, the below comment was meant to say 'refreshing'. To many Guinness!

It's freshing to go in a pub and see the bar staff make a beeline towards you instead of chatting to their mates or ignoring you. A good pub. Well done to all the staff.

A cracking place to watch a big sports event. Plenty of seating and tv's. I like it.

Still a good pub with pleasant staff and regulars. A few decent sized TV's wouldn't go amiss though.

Now shut along with the Littern Tree. Windows smashed etc. That end of Staines is dying.

I enjoyed my previous visit but made a big mistake returning. I was happily watching the cricket when the TV was just turned off and the juke box turned up to a stupid level. It wouldn't hurt to ask or at least say sorry. I won't bother again.

Not happy with this one at all. Very expensive and poor quality Guinness. A big mix up with my change, not sure whether a cock-up or attempted rip-off. It will be a long time until I return, if ever.

The Manor Inn, Galmpton
Remember the days when pints were a penny or two more expensive depending on which pub you went too?
Well this pub has Guinness at a whopping 45p more expensive than a harbour side pub in Brixham. Totally overpriced and simply not worth it.
