The Windsor Castle, Windsor

I ate here recently and found the regulars rather snooty and unwelcoming. A real rotarians pub, not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just not my cup of tea. Having said that, the food was pleasant but more than a little overpriced for what you get.

The Bexley Arms, Windsor

A pleasant pub for an afternoon drink. Slightly older clientelle, but very nice atmosphere. I hear that the Sunday lunch is pretty good and they certainly have a large number of tables in the restaurant to the rear.

The Watermans Arms, Eton

Wonderful value Sunday lunch. Very friendly staff and recommended for its great selection of draught beers.

The Two Brewers, Windsor

Wonderful meaty food in a most wonderful pub atmosphere. A truly great find. I recommend the calves liver dish. Delicious.

The Trooper, Windsor

Great, friendly, local but very inviting pub. I've had many a pleasany pint in the pub garden. Great Indian next door too, Saffron (best in Windsor).

The Merry Wives of Windsor, Windsor

This is now no longer a pub but a fancy bistro/restaurant by a different name.

All Bar One, Windsor

Bit pretentious and pricey. Far too crowded on weekends. I hear the food isn't too bad though.

The Fawn Pub, Windsor

Very local feel to this pub but still not at all threatening. Pleasant enough and friendly staff.

The Duke of Connaught, Windsor

Great pub. Very friendly warm atmosphere with great seating, top beer garden and open fires for the winter. Highly recommended.
