The Prince Albert Inn, Uxbridge

I used to know the owner of this pub when I lived in the Hillingdon area he used to be a pretty awful gas fitter (before he lost his licence for drink driving) that I would never have do any work near my house, if he has messed about with the meter I would avoid the area completely, and report him to the gas company! Lex1 you are right he is a lecherous creep, and he was barred from many local pubs due to his uninvited attentions to young ladies.

Definitely an old fashioned type of boozer with old style glasses - coke still served in goblet style 1/2pts cute but they charge same as you pay for a 14oz branded glass elsewhere. Unless you are a regular then the staff/manager don't speak so remains uncomfortably silent at times. Though makes a change as no pushy upselling from anyone. If they "don't sell that" they wait for you to ask for something else.. avoid if you are used to new style of customer service you get as standard elsewhere...it hasn't reached old windsor yet.

untidy and unclean. ladies loos terrible despite the plush fluffy red hand towels - I take it they have heard about cross contamination. Staff eating and drinking behind bar was like stepping into a time warp that did not know about food hygiene regulations. Next door to much quieter (perhaps too quiet and soleless) pub/hotel -this very clean and way overpriced - especially food, but the two really just need passing by as neither have much to offer

Small, neat and clean, good decor inside. car park area would discourage anyone from staying though - they could at least get rid of the weeds- have they heard of first impressions!!. Staff not particularly friendly and like manager just seem to go through the motions. Food good but vastly overpriced and not available all day which seems outdated in this day and age. Much livelier pub next door but that was dirty and mismatched.

What the hell is going on with this pub?
Went in there on a Sunday recently for lunch only to be confronted with a ridiculously loud Irish karaoke people who came for lunch were walking out. They want to make up there minds its either a restaurant or an Irish themed bar. Where have all the staff gone? I cant believe that they all had some thing better to do. Seems a bit odd to me. I take back all I said before avoid at all costs. Visit Pat at The Prince Of Wales.

This pub has just under gone a re-vamp.
It only has two TVs and appears to have gone away from being mainly sports orientated. It now has three bitters and a fine selection of lagers (no fosters). It also has a new menu with some excellent dishes (love the Irish stew) unfortunately the two meals for 5.95 deal has gone but hey, you cannot have everything and is now female friendly.
With a disco every Friday.
As for being the poor relation to the other pubs in the area as far as I am concerned, it is and always has been far superior to anything else round about (no offence Pat).
As for the staff being unfriendly, they have always been extremely polite on my visits.
