A care home for delinquent baseball cap wearing indecents, hitherto known as chavs

full of loud upstarts

Service was OK and there were enough seating areas to be able to have a quiet pint. Large unoccupied restaurant area through which you have to walk to get to the toilets. TV's on but volume switched off. Not a place I'd spend an evening in but perhaps average enough for a couple of lunchtimers.

I never used to go into this pub until it was taken over a couple years ago. The new manager has really improved things. Before she took over, I was told that the pub was full of rowdy people (mostly men) with pool tables and sports which adds to a rowdy atmosphere. I cannot comment on the old managers running of The Vine but I have only had one bad experience since they left and the staff dealt with it superbly and I left not feeling one bit angry. I have also recommended many of my friends and family to go here too.

The food is lovely. Yes maybe the prices are more than your "local" pub but I'm sure I'm not the only person who is willing to pay a bit more for good food.
I also enjoy going in with the girlies for a bottle of wine in the evening as the atmosphere created is lovely and always makes me want to return.

As for those who believe this pub is "chav-city" (no offence intended) they should revisit The Vine in order to see that this is not the case anymore. The pool tables have been gone for over two years now so no more rudeness you'd get!

All in all, this pub is one of the best in the area and I would choose to come here first over anywhere else in the area and will continue to do so!

This place Really is chav-city. It is a place best avoided unless you drive a white van. Bloody awful food, idiots both sides of the bar, and while we were trying to play pool, someone sat on it and refused to move. Avoid.
