The Jolly Sailor, Wakefield

This has now changed it's name to Wharfside and has just re-opened.

The White Hart, Nettleham

Update on my comments from Mar 07. There seems to be a better atmosphere here now for normal eating - the pub is being refurbished so watch this space.
Lets hope that they match the service to the decor as when I was there for Valentines Night, they had laid on a special menu etc but ruined the night by booking a large table for an office party. Nothing romantic about the night at all.

The Dog and Donkey, Knowle

December 2009.
Food is above average but well above average for price. Large dining room gives pleanty of space to eat in (instead of being elbow to elbow). Don't ignor the specials board as the chef can be very creative.

The Blacksmiths Arms, Broughton Mills

Great food (decent prices and generous portions).
Excellent atmosphere. Beer well looked after - as were we. Well worth trying to find as it is off the beaten track.

This pub is opening tonight (10/07/07) as The Three Acres. The phone number is unkown at the moment.

The White Hart, Nettleham

This pub is continually changing hands. I have lived in the village for just over 4 years and have 'known' 5 landlords! It is very hard to rate this pub because of that. They do however, hold great folk evenings regularly in a side room. See their website for details.
