this place leaves me speechless.
Why do people in Twickeham allow it?
Twickenham is quite genteel yet in the centre is this hell hole which is filled with the scum that comes in from places like Sutton. There is no requirement for a pub like this here and the people of TW1 should campaign to have it shut down.
It is a blot on the landscape.

Surely there is a health and safety issue here having two notorious drunks running a pub.
They take �30,000 on match days. imagine what a properly run pub could do with that.
Don't give them any more money. They will only spend it on more alcohol and give you even more abuse. I have noticed that they are starting to be violent...

it is excellent. All the drunks who run the other pubs in Twick should be dragged here by the nose and shown what a pub can be

good enough pub.
very demoralising clientele. smug old middle class and incredibly dull. you never see one good-looking person in there. they look like they are all waiting to die

this is a fabulous pub. great location. It is a refuge for people who cannot take being abused by the drunks who manage the Barmy Arms next door if manage is the right word. But as usual every cloud has a silver lining as David Essex would say - the pub is home to a vicious pitbull who roams free. It is only a mater of time before a child cops it.
Apart from that it is wonderful and the food is ok if you like paying Le Gavroche prices for pub grub.

This is the most beautiful pub in a fabulous location.
It is run,however, by a couple who give off a very bad vibe. They clearly loathe their clientele and they have as a result no regulars despite their setting.
If you want to be made to feel really unwelcome after a hard day at work then go here.
This couple do not come over as hosts, most people think they are just really rude fellow drinkers. They stand around in the pub or garden and just make snide comments at people. This should be the most successful pub in London but these two drag it down to their little chav level

Sadly it is plummetting downhill. I think the new owners have probably never been to a pub before and just have total contempt for the clientele. It is a bit like a football club with foreign owners. The fans still support it but wish it was like it used to be while the owners think the fans are irrelevant. One day someone will buy it who understands the word hospitality and does not just try to screw every penny out of the the fan.
I would be intrigued to know what industry the new owners actually work in. I bet it's one where the bottom line is king and nothing else matters; the problem is that good pubs don't work like that. Humanity comes in - not that they would understand. They clearly have no soul.
