Tobacco Factory, Southville

Huge, which means that the atmoshpere can be a bit odd. Good choice of locally brewed ales. Worth a vist, but very impersonal.

The Lounge, Southville

Not been here much for beer, mostly go for a coffee or a quite lunch (late breakfasts here are superb) limited choice of beer, and not really a pub atmosphere.

The Spotted Cow, Bedminster

More of a late night bar than a pub, not one you would go to for a quiet beer. Has lefe on tap though!! Expensive though. Nice beer garden out the back, not one I would race back to, but would be ok for a big night, can't imagine their are many locals in there.

The Hen and Chicken, Bedminster

Good food, nice atmosphere, very good pub.

Robert Fitz Harding, Bedminster

A wetherspoons pub, so you know what you are getting. Good range of beers, but probably not kept well, and likely to be at the end of their sell but date, so they are cheap. As usual with the is chain, full of lots of sad looking men nursing a pint, from even as early as 9 in the morning.

The Albert Inn, Bedminster

Unfreindly bar staff, music was too loud, beer choice was OK. Seemed a bit dated. For a pub with a huge reputation for live music it seems to have declined. Not bad, but not good.

The Princess Of Wales, Bedminster

Really odd pub. The Diana Princess of Wales pictures make you feel you have stepped back in time. Courage beer was ok, but limited choice. Unlikely to revist in a hurry.

The Black Cat, Bedminster

Strange pub, limited choice of beers, there was a Guinness tap on the bar - but we were told they only had it in cans. Some locals who were regulars, but then some others who clearly weren't. Inoffensive, not one I would rush back to.

The Sugar Loaf, Easton

Moved to the area 6 months ago, and this is my favourite pub. Some friendly locals (if sometimes a bit on the alternative side). Great Jukebox and good beer. The Easton Ale is brewed especially for the pub, and is well worth a try.

The best thing about it, is that you can amble over after a meal at one of St Mark's restaurants.

The Anglers, Walton on Thames

I personaly fo not know where gtelforth is coming from. His advice to go to the Wetherspoons is seriuosly odd. I would prefer the Anglers any day. I go there at least twice a week, and I have never encountered the problems he claims are normal.

It is a good pub (not a great pub) in a very good location. Sometimes it is a bit poor with regards to the real ale (they do not always have one available), but that is my only complaint.

The Druid's Head, Kingston Upon Thames

Once went in there and discovered there was a big pile of siick on the floor, which the bar staff could not be bothered to clean up. I left.

I was also refused entry once at 10.45 as they claimed the pub had called last orders. Had an argument with the ignorant doorman about the law, didn't get in, wasn't too bothered, they just didn't get my money that evening, who lost out in the end?

Eclipse Bar, Camps Bay

Went back.. very dissapointed. Nobody in there. No Atmosphere. One night it was closed. This was my favourite bar while I was in SA, but it is not the same.

The Porterhouse, Covent Garden

I have the advantage of going here during the days. I love Stout, so this punis awesome as it has three very different Stouts. All of which have a unique flavour.

I would avoid this place on a Friday or Saturday night. But it is a great pub for proper beer. Intresting comment on Pasteurising. My understanding was that they tried to maintain natural ingredients and avoid such proceses, so I am not too sure this is valid.

Another comment said this "nasty beers" which I assume is beacuse they don't have Fosters, Guinness and 1664 on tap.

The service is not that good, but I have been to the Dublin Pub, and that was definatly not the case there,

This Pub is my favourite in London, but that is more than likely because I am a Stout lover and get fed up with Guinness everytime.

The Cricketers, Epsom

Very nice pub, great location and friendly bar staff. If you are in Epsom it is a good pub to visit.
