Used to be a great old pub when Steve Gregry had it, but now its got no manager most of the time and no atmosphere really. Good beers though, Deuchars on draught. Food is a bit microwaveish.

Just been to the Triton for Sunday Lunch - wow, what a change! This pub had got a bit run down last year but has now been done up really nice. Lovely leather furniture, real ales, even in the restaurant, food and simple snacks as well. And no bloody Sky Sports. Really friendly staff - love it. Bit dear on drinks (10 p a pint more than the Fox in Cave) but worth the extra I suppose. Loads of great wines as well and they sell anything by the glass. Me and the girls like it anyway!

The Rose and Crown Inn, Slipper Bridge
Its hard to get the wrong pub, but even harder to find it open as they only open limited hours. We have always found the food pretty good, if basic and limited menu at times. the beer is very well kept, but I agree the service is pretty poor. The landlady is away recuperating or something and her stand-in is a misery and a bit past it. She is helped by school girls, who are not trained. Not a bad pub for food in a bit of a desert for decent eaing places in Howdenshire.

This used to be a great pub years ago but its gone well done market the last few years. Full of OAPs eating their pensioner special meals. Better atmosp[here when Jayne ran it

My local - its a great pub at the front bar, food is a bit poor for its food though. barmaids only like to serve the men though usually, but I get most of my drinks bought so doesnt worry me.

The Green Dragon, Welton
What a shame - its a nice building but the decorators wrecked it a few years ago and its lost all its atmosphere. Got live music on a Friday, but iot just attracts the yobs. Foodies have taken over really, or people staying the night. Got real ales, but a very strange manager called John. He made it clear that he doesnt like us girls in 'his' pub!
