The Jolly Gardeners, Old Windsor
Not a huge selection of pubs in Old Windsor, but this one is the best by far. I dont know what time the poster who said no people and no music went in there... maybe when they were closed? This is a well run and exceptionally friendly pub. Food is superb, and if you'll excuse the pun, cheap as chips!

you'd have more luck high jumping to the moon than getting a drink in here when its busy... the S L O W E S T place i've ever seen. I think people have turned to vapor waiting to be served in here...

The new manager is doing a sterling job and seems to attracted some much needed "new blood". Food is still excellent!

DIRE DIRE DIRE. Needs to take a long hard look at itself. In this uber-competative age i don't know how this stuck up exercise in style-over-substance manages to survive at all! Worse door staff in Windsor! Save your money for Havana, or just about anywhere else in Windsor.

The Fox and Castle, Old Windsor
Heard it's closing and coming back as a fancy resturant? About time someone did something to this place to restore its former glory. Beautiful building with huge garden that despite its potential, has had the life and soul sucked out of it. Pity!

i often pop in here on my way back to the yard, always recieve a warm welcome from the staff and more importantly, great tasting beer! A proper "old fashioned" boozer. Can't fault it!

Lovely riverside venue, good sized garden - great for kids! Food, as you'd expect, no complaints. Great place to spent a summer's afternoon!

Under new stewardship it's not as pleasant as it once was. Food is okay, not the cheapest, or best. Parking is good.

The Charterhouse, Godalming
Great landlord / Landlady team, efficient bar staff, and reasonably priced, well portioned meals. Have no hesitation in recommending this place.
