The Dog and Gun, Banbury

Popped in last Saturday night for a look. Nice new decor but they have covered over the old well! Why?
Used to be a feature years ago when people used to queue up in all weathers to get into this pub. Glad it's the Dog & Gun again.

The Coach and Horses, Banbury

Nice to see a pub re-open in Banbury when so many seem to be closing down at the moment. Nice decor and beer ok. All the pub's in the Town Centre are pricey now days and this is no exception though not as expensive as some.

Priory, Banbury

I have to say this place has slipped somewhat lately.
Runs out of beer quite often and when we last tried to eat in here we gave up because several of our choices on the menu had run out.
Pedisace is obviously a wino on the quite with jewish tendencies if he thinks the beer was expensive he must be from up North. The Exchange (Wetherspoons) is were all the local wino's hang out so at least he found his home from home in the end !!!

Barley Mow, Banbury

Stupidly gave this hole another chance on Fathers Day.
It took 10 mins to be servred our first drink and when I returned to the bar to order food witnessed one of the better bar staff throw his till tag at the manager and walk out. I did the sensible thing and rounded up the family and went elsewhere. I didn't beleive this place could get any worse but trust me it has.

Bonito's, Banbury

I like this place too. Great music for the old soul boy's out there. Nice area outside to sit and enjoy a pleasant evening in the summer. Nice range of bottled beer.

Barley Mow, Banbury

Time for an update. anonymous is again correct.
Unfortunately for me this is my Local Pub but because it's so poor now you won't find me in there often. I would now rather get a cab into town.

The Wine Vaults, Banbury

Usually pop in to this place for a beer if indulging in the Banbury tradition of the Saturday night pub crawl. Good selection of beer reasonably priced for the town centre. Go early on in the crawl though as it is one of the few that sticks to the 11pm curfew on a Saturday night.

Exchange, Banbury

el-capitano is spot on about Friday and Saturday night
but then what else would you expect from a place that supply's beer at working mens club prices. No matter what time you go into the place it has it's hard core professional drinkers section if you know what I mean.
The food is good value for money though but the whole place is well over due a makeover.

Que Pasa, Banbury

One of the latest pubs in Banbury to convert to the continental cafe bar feel during the day. Had a look at the menu which is extensive. I haven't sampled the food yet personally but I have it on good authority that it is very good. Good range of beer's to chose from but as it thinks it's a night club at night not that cheapest. Certainly wouldn't pay 7 to get in !!!

The Bell Inn, Banbury

The local of one of my mates this so always feel welcome. Beers good & price is OK. Good place to fgo for a quite drink and a chat.

The Bell Inn, Great Bourton

Nice friendly pub. Beers good and price is OK. The food is outstanding value for money but the resturant area isn't that big so getting a table without booking well in advance at the weekends is difficult if not impossible.

The Moon & Sixpence, Hanwell

More of a resturant pub than a drinkers pub (small bar area) though a few regulars seem to get in as it is "The only pub in the village". The foods excellent, but not pub grub prices, it's agood idea to book at the weekends.

The Dog and Gun, Banbury

Again another pub with plenty of screens to view the footy. I can see were anonymous's comments are coming from as sadly the place doesn't seem to have the same friendly glow that it had when it first opened.
The drinks are expensive & last time I was in on a Saturday night they weren't that busy so they booted everyone out at 1pm when it is usually open till 2pm.
Foods OK still though not as good as it used to be.

Ye Olde Reindeer, Banbury

Nice pub for a pint and a chat with friends. I like this place because it is one of the few places these days were I am not anywhere near the oldest in there.

Barley Mow, Banbury

One of the cheapest pubs around Banbury (it's on the out skirts)I agree with comments from anonymous they do run out of beer far to often considering it's a pub!!! The food has improved lately as has the service(bar & table) due to some decent staff having been taken on.

Priory, Banbury

One of the best pubs in Banbury to watch the Footy with screens and TV's everywhere.Beers reasonably priced for Banbury town centre and the foods good too.
