The White Hart, Aldeburgh

Popped in here on a day visit to this delightful town. Found a friendly pub popular with locals and visitors. There was a good selection of guest ales and two beers from Adnams on tap. I would certainly call in here again for a drink when I'm visiting and it's also next door to the renowned fish and chip shop in the town.

The Minden Rose, Bury St Edmunds

This Pub now seems to be reopening after a short closure. Signs have gone up to that effect and it states that "Len is back". Whoever he was.

The Malta Inn, Sandling

I stayed at the nearby Premier Inn on a Saturday night and ventured into this pub as I had booked a table for dinner. I'm glad I did as it was very busy. I was shown to a table and although the restaurant was busy I was served very quickly and my food arrived very quickly as well. The food was very good and was reasonably priced. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive. I ordered a pint of Hobgoblin with my meal and afterwards I had a pint of Spitfire and sat outside by the river. In all it was a very pleasant experience and I would certainly consider coming back here again.

Founders Arms, Bankside

Popped in here to meet a friend after a day in London. Found a very pleasant pub with friendly staff. Great views of the river and Millenium Bridge and very handy for Tate Modern. Would certainly visit again if I was in the area.

The Minden Rose, Bury St Edmunds

It appears that this pub has now closed as I've not seen it open for the past few days. All the blinds appear to be permanently drawn.

The Kingston Arms, Cambridge

I've wanted to drink in this pub for a while and finally did yesterday. I wasn't disappointed, 10 real ales on tap and excellent food. The barman was very friendly and the staff all very pleasant. Very handy for Cambridge railway station so good for out of towners. Would definitely go back when visiting Cambridge again.

The Green Man Inn, Brackley Hatch

Stayed at the nearby Premier Inn and popped in here for a meal and a drink. The food was very good with a large choice from the menu. The beer I tried was Bombardier. Very pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. Black and white photographs of motor racing at Silverstone were hung on the walls. I would certainly eat and drink here again if I was in the area.

The Bath House, Cambridge

Called in for a pre concert drink on a Wednesday night. I was served very quickly despite the pub being fairly full with a crowd verging on the youthful side. They had Greene King IPA on draught and a guest beer from St Austell which I sampled. Not too bad a place to go and handy for the Corn Exchange and Soul Tree concert venues. Would have a drink in here again if I was in this vicinity.

The Falcon, Bury St Edmunds

I called in recently and found this pub had regressed a bit. The management had changed and it was very quiet. They didn't have any bottled Abbot ale and the barmaid didn't seem to be in love with her job. I used to enjoy a pint or two in this pub but I don't think I would go in there again at present.

Rose and Crown, Bury St Edmunds

This is what a traditional town pub should be. The staff were friendly and the beer was well kept. I don't normally like Greene King's beers but in here they tasted very good. The decor is a bit 80's and it does look like it could do with a coat of paint or two but that's half the attraction. When I called in there were several Greene King staff drinking in here. If you are in this part of the town then this pub is well worth a visit.

The Belgian Monk, Norwich

I went in on a lunchtime and found the staff very friendly and welcoming. There was a large selection of draught and bottled Belgian beers. The food was reasonably priced, and I sampled the Belgian delicacy of chips with mayonaise which was very good. It's very nice pub that I would certainly drink in again when I'm in the area.

Ye Olde One Bull, Bury St Edmunds

I went into this pub yesterday and found it completely transformed from the last time I was in here about four years ago. The pub serves two Adnams beers, best bitter and Broadside and a five lagers including Staropromen. There is an eating area away from the bar, and a coffee lounge as well. I found drinking in here a pleasant experience and hope to sample the food menu in the coming weeks.

The Beerhouse, Bury St Edmunds

This was formerly a Greene King pub, as mentioned in a previous review it is now called The Gaff. If you like real ale then don't go here. When I called in there were six lagers and a draught Guinness pump on the bar. Of the six lagers only three were being served that evening. The decor was modern with sofas and tables. There was also a DJ's desk with turntables. I would say this place would be OK if you are under 25 and going onto one of the nearby nightclubs. If not then I wouldn't go in here.

The New Bell Inn, Harwich

A friendly pub situated in Old Harwich near the Sailing Club. There was a good selection of beers on when I visted, and I would recommend a vist to this establishment when you are in this part of the town.

The Marquess of Anglesey, Covent Garden

I stopped in here for lunch a few weeks ago. I found a very quiet pub, not too many customers, but it was mid afternoon. I had fish and chips which although a little pricey was very good. A good selection of Youngs beers on tap. There were sofas and tables in one part of the pub and high chairs and tables in another. It was an enjoyable experience and I would certainly visit again.

The Duke of York, Victoria

I went to this pub in the early evening with a friend and it took us a while to get served. That said the staff were fairly pleasant. There was a reasonable range of beers on tap including Greene King IPA and Charles Wells Bombardier. Not an unpleasant experience, but if I was in the area again I would most likely try a different pub.

The Crown Inn, Churchill

A superb pub where the ales are delivered straight from the barrel. There is always a good choice on offer. This is one of my favourite pubs in England. If you walk passed it, you would think it was someone's house.

The Mill, Cambridge

Pleasant pub with a good range of beers. Friendly staff and quite handy for the University Rugby Ground. Worth popping in on the way to or from a game.

The Alma Tavern, Wandsworth Town

The Alma is my favourite London Pub. Great selection of Young's ales. Excellent food as well.

The Fox and Hounds, Thurston

Very good village local with friendly staff and customers. Has a good selection of guest beers on and a guest lager. It's best to go on a Friday when the new beers go on.

The Old Cannon Brewery, Bury St Edmunds

A very friendly pub with an excellent selection of beers and very good food. The restaurant is popular in the evenings. This pub is now non smoking inside although those are partial to the noxious weed can still light up outside in the beer garden.
