Im surprised this pub has a rating as high as 5.4! The location isnt bad and the pub itself is quite nicely decorated. However, the manager/owner is rude, unhelpful and obnoxious. Food is overpriced. Not family friendly. Attended a wake here and the owner was unbelievably rude to the widow! If you;re lookng for value for money at a pub with a good family atmosphere, go somewhere else!

Fortnightly on a Wednesday some friends of mine frequent this pub. Occasionally I join them and have never once been disappointed. Everything about this pub says 'nice, quiet and relaxing', from the friendly staff, slightly tired but well looked after premises, reasonable prices, a selection of ales and lagers (and a very good selection of ciders).

Went into the garden one evening and was stunned at the thought and decor and seating arrangements. Cant wait to drink away summer evenings here.

Haven't tried the food, fully intend too.

I recently visited this pub,Nice, clean and well kept,However the pool table and jukebox have long gone, together with the neglected decor, this pub is now totally unrecogniseable of it's former self, there are newspapers for customers to read, nice food is served and there is a nice Beer Garden out the back together with a nice conservatory area-there is also live music at weekends.

Pleasant enough road house. Adnams and London pride on handpump but I got the impression this was a lager drinkers pub. Clean and well run, it was quite busy for a Friday afternoon. Nice to see a couple of newspapers for customers.
