Good Location. Great pool tables and garden. Some of the staff are friendly. Some definitely are not. Avoid the food at all costs.

Gone right down hill and if you're in Cranham go to the Jobbers, Masons or Thatched instead.

We went there a couple of weeks ago with our son and granddaughters and had a superb meal. Our son said that the chips were the best that he'd had in a long time and certainly the best ever in a pub. There were no complaints and the girls left clean plates - a sure sign that the food's good. This is a Charles Wells pub and the Bombardier was excellent. They had two other ales on as well. My son, who tends to drink lager, enjoyed the bitter as well. I'm trying to convert him away from the kid's beer, and the pint he had will certainly help seduce him to the big boys' stuff.

A really lovely pub, nicely decorated and spacious, with a big pub garden at the rear. I've seen foxes in the garden at night, and it's great to watch them. Friendly staff, and good food (if a tad pricey).

Background music only, so it's not loud and a good place to chat to friends.

Also, they welcome children and have a children's menu. So, if you want to go out but can't find a babysitter, it's an excellent choice. My friend took her eighteen month old one afternoon for lunch, and they were more than helpful, and offered a highchair.

Highly recommended.
