A small, local pub on the outskirts of Portsmouth (Stamshaw town), offering a good seating area, tv for footy fans. Friendly staff at bar. This pub does not offer car parking, pool tables, function room, disabled access, kareoke, or accomodation as far as i could see but does offer food (maybe sunday roast/britishpub grub) and the loos are clean (do disabled access) or outside seating available.

Good pub but frequented by nonces from Stamshaw, I used it a lot when the 6.57 crew were about, since then just mainly patroned by tossers and mouths from the area living off the pubs reputation,

Summary: Has been.

Now taken over (about June/July 2007) by Greene King and refurbished inside and out. Have not had a drink in there yet but going by other Greene King recent acquisitions should improve rapidly. Been impressed with a few others. Worth giving a review later in year. nb Greene King do good food at very good prices.

I stumbled into it for a quick pint. Drank it left no bother.

A few days later I see it Britains Hardest Pubs and was a little surprised.

Either I had a lucky escape or its not a s bad as its made out to be?

Eitherway there is nothing about it special enough to take the risk.
