Its now called (The Coach House) At last its gone back too being a proper Pub with Sky Sports & Real Ale. Plus it was actually full of customers instead of empty like it always was before. The builders were still doing alterations when I went in so I will call in later in a few weeks too see how much its improved and update Review but its at least 10 times beter than before.

I went here for new years eve and had the most awful night ever.
I paid 25 for an advance ticket to find people were paying 10 on the door -understandabley I wanted to speak to the manager to see why I had paid more and was treated like sh*t.
He was repetively rude, physically aggressive and lacked no managerial/people skills when I wanted my money back. He took 30 out of his wallet and THREW it at me!?! He told me I was the rudest, nastiest person he had ever met. This was at the start of the night so I hadnt had much to drink. I am a 5ft tall petite woman and was in no way nasty nor aggressive. I think his behaviour was just abismal. He is supposed to represent the brewery and lead a good example to his staff, but clearly this is not the case. His managerial skills are more matched to a prison officer than running a pub. Wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy.

This seems to be a nice Femail frendly Bar with good choice of wine thats Not too bad during the day time or in the early evening after work but it dose tend to get full of absolute Plonkers later in the evenings especilly with all the youger crowed that go to tank up on cheap booze & spirits in wetherspoons then come in here to show off.

You're both right tuppence & strongers the staff at this pub must think us BITE contributors are really stupid,i mean 6 people joining the site in the space of 3 days and only giving the one glowing review to the same pub.YOU SUN STAFF ARE A BUNCH OF SADDOES !

Being the best bar in Southgate isn't difficult, considering every pub in the area is rank.

Suffice to say I get a bit suspicious when a place feels it needs to get members of staff to sign up under different names on BITE to drum up a bit of free publicity. It's the kind of thing which might put me off going to a place.
