Great character pub. with not bad beer. Must agree with comments that sometimes it appears to be run by the kids, but definitely worth a visit. marinaman - 3 Oct 2011 15:54 |
I'm a regular at The Rose and thank god it is one of only two Pubs in the area that still show Sky Sports. It is a very friendly/lively Pub, especially during the football season. Contrary to the previous derogatory comment, it is NOT FULL of badly behaved children. pistandbroke - 4 Jul 2011 18:50 |
Avoid at all costs on Sunday lunchtime during the football season. Full of noisy football supporting types with young brats. Didn't try the real ale as not keen on Pride or Youngs; had a pint of lager and got out. Went down to the Star - far better pub altogether. in1dryboy - 20 Mar 2011 14:29 |
Had a pint in here on my way back from our trip along the river. Nice pub and able to show Sky Sports 3D I was quite impressed. However service was very slow and several of the beers were out of stock. nonameshown - 6 Aug 2010 02:40 |
