Large 'done out' pub opposite the station. It's okay for a swift lager - that's it.

Got told about this pub by a mate who said it was now quite a trendy, vast bar after the Harvester refurb. I have to admit, I was very impressed. I went on a friday night and it was rammed, but the staff were so quick you would have thought it was a quiet night. It seemed to be more of an over 25 crowd which suited me fine. Apart from the drunk bloke who took the mick out of my 70's retro jacket about 10 times, a pleasant night was had

This pub is my local and I often frequent it for drinks in the evening, light bites or sometimes a meal.

The bar is very contemporary and so much better than when it was the Harvester. The staff ar friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced too. This bar showcases a lovely beer garden which is delightful to sit out in the summer. My only reservation is that the bar can become very noisy as the acoustics are not great, due to the minimilisic style of the bar and high celings.

I would recommend going here for a weekday bite to eat, drink with friends, but if you want somewhere quieter then it might not be ideal at the weekends during the evenings as it is hard to have a conversation.

Nevertheless, a really lovely bar and worth a visit!

Had a great time here celebrating a friend of ours birthday.
Staff were very friendly & the food really good. I thought the beer selection a little limited however what I was served was fine & obviously well managed.

All in all a great improvement on the previous pub.

Often come here for lunch but came in early evening yesterday and the atmosphere had a lovely buzz. As we left at around 7pm the bar was already very busy. Staff were friendly and the food was good. They seemed to have changed their menu so we opted for salads and dessert.
Will definitely be back in the evening as well as lunch time.
