| tudor-style restaurant/pub on Pickhurst Lane, built between the two world wars, large garden. Inside the building is open plan. Customers are welcome to enjoy a drink without necessarily eating - there is a separate bar for non-diners. | This pub used to be a family place and good for food. Not sure what it is good for now! When I arrived with my newborn baby & husband for lunch today and was greeted at the door by some young lads revving their cars outside the front door whilst smoking something "unsavoury", I should have known what was to come (not quite sure why the mgmt didn't move the lads along either - but perhaps they don't care about illegal substances being smoked on their premises!). Ignorant staff, a dreadful bar food menu and when the food came out after only 15 minutes it tasted like it had been sat on the side for a few hours! A real shame. Won't be going there again!
