Pub looks as if it's only half finished but still a decent place to have a drink. Locals very friendly and the juke box is excellent - possibly to keep Tom Waits drinking there. Beer all blonde except London Pride, which slipped down well. What raises this place out of the ordinary is the cheery, chatty barmaid who made us feel very welcome. She was so good we could even forgive her for recommending we visit Burghley House. £18 to get in and they want you to pay for a guide book? My arse.

For our tastes the beer choice was disappointing; two by GK, Hobgoblin, Fullers Pride and Wherry but the saviour was Stoney Ford's Sheepmarket Supernova Straw which was superb. Friendly pub. Currently no food as kitchen being worked on.

Totally deserted on a Friday lunchtime, however atmosphere seemed ok. Nice selection of beers. Brewsters Decadence very pleasant.

The user rating for this pub says it all - superb!!
I was here last Saturday just after 1.00pm and just a couple of others in.
They have 10 hand pulls with 8 for Ale and 2 for Cider.
Of the selection available one of my favourites OKHAMS CITRA was on.
It was as excellent as ever as I quaffed down a couple of pints (£3.00 a pint)
Would liked to have stayed for another but time was not on my side.
