Not a boring chain hotel but quirky independent, close to the town centre. Very comfy. Normally 4 real ales from small breweries are on tap. Great pint of RCH Pitchfork. Consistently gets good recommendationso. Landlord is very friendly and they do good vale pub food at lunchtimes. Try it out. Girlabouttoon77 - 7 Apr 2015 21:52 |
A gem of a pub,had some really nice ales on,very well kept too. Nice clean and friendly, very relaxing place to go. Had an excellent pint called "what the fox is that",a locally made ale. Very handy next to the racecourse. markredfox73 - 25 Apr 2013 21:41 |
Went again tonight after the town bonfire so it was noisy and busy once more but in a good way. The RCH Pitchfork was in fine order, also available were Purity UBU, Wye Valley Dorothy Goodbody's Golden Ale, Hobson's Mild and their own Paul Pry Fourpenny Brew. Strongbow and Thatcher's Gold for the cider drinkers in our party. A short but enjoyable visit. paul_d102 - 3 Nov 2012 21:56 |
Visited on New Year's Eve after the horse racing. Good crowd there (we were lucky to get a seat because it soon filled up) and enjoyed a good pint from the local Old Pie Factory Brewery. paul_d102 - 10 Apr 2012 18:52 |
Friendly staff, good range of beers, proper old style pub. Came in a couple of times while visiting Warwick. Zumo - 1 Mar 2011 14:18 |
