| So many of these pubs on the Cromer to Hunstanton road have changed beyond recognition as the area has become more in vogue over the years. I'm sure they must get the 'duck egg' blue gloss and nautical ropes from the same supplier... That said, I didn't encounter the rude staff slurpy mentioned, and beers were pretty good.. two from the Grain brewery in Harleston, Best bitter, and a 6% porter called slate. I settled on woodeford wherry.. Also nice to see a Gluten free beer (reindeer) from the Norwich Redwell brewery. Didn't eat on this occasion. | Good pub, good service, good food and a nice selection of beers. Wolf Twenty 16, Humpty Dumpty Special, their own house Ship Ale (not sure who brewed by) and Old Stoat Wobbler from the Beeston Brewery - which were all tried and all in good nick. These are backed up by a range of craft stuff on the taps - Goose Island, Adnams East Coast and another that I can't remember. Prices ok-ish for beer, with food prices a bit high, but not extortionate. Perfect if staying at one of the campsites nearby as we were - yes, in January!! littledrummerboy - 7 Jan 2016 17:58 |
