enjoyed many a good meal at this establishment. Lovely pub, friendly staff. Excellent homemade food, owner is the chef so standards always high. Would recommend the drive out. Fantastic views of the countryside even in the winter months open fires make a visit most welcoming .

Have visited several times over the last 20 years or so and have never had a bad meal. Staff very pleasant food homemade and delicious. Well done.

Only recently discovered the fine watering hole. Good beer and mouth watering home cooked food, servered by very frienly staff. Will be back for more.

I LOVE this pub. Very welcoming and friendly. One occassion when I tried to book a table over the phone there was no reply, but they phoned me back in seconds as they couldn't get to the phone in time! This place just seems to go the extra mile! Always tidy and clean tables, a reasonably priced wine list and reasonably priced food - which is always tasty, home-cooked tasting and nicely presented. All in all an enjoyable and friendly night out.

I agree with Boltontraveller but I and my family go for the food which is always "homemade" and very good indeed.
